Flower keeps telling me once he gets back we're going on a date;
Honestly? No thanks.
I'm not interested in getting into some tango of love.
Really, I'm just interested in the tango of classes.
Of straight a's, of college, of scholarships.
The tango that'll take me places isn't going to be some out of the blue,
Totally unneeded fling.
Or something that could potentially 'blossom into love'
Call me bitter,
Call my cruel;
But love is a piece of s**t.

I feel like I'm becoming one of those women that says
'******** you' to getting married early,
To raising a family,
Being a stay at home mom type of deal.
I remember merely eight months ago,
Nothing seemed better than that.
Oh how things change.
But I think I like it better this way.
It's never too late to turn things around,
So I did and back into the need for a career,
And an unwavering desire to learn was bestowed to me.
I'm so ready to dive into my joke of a schedule,
And yet take it so serious as if I'm actually paying for tuition.

I'm just learning that I gotta distance myself from a lot to truly succeed.
