Chapter 2: The leave of the memory

Illaina walked away from that patch of land that was now a memory of it's own. She walked to the tree to talk to her brother. She dreaded her town. she really did but she didn't want to leave Jeffery. she loved him and she'd felt bad if she'd left him. She ended up at his little gravesite and she kneeled down placing a book on the grave. No one would take the book and she would make sure of that. Since she had known he had loved to read ever since he learned she thought he would want a new book to read insted of flowers to look at.

"I got you a new book. I think you might like it. It's a Stephen King book. It's called 'Gerald's Game'. It sounds like a science fiction but i think it could happen. I went to the carnival today and thought of the accident. I don't mind the memory to much now. Well i have to get back to home. I m cooking. I hope you have a good day." Illaina said and left. As she walked she tried her best to get the nightmare of her brothers death to leave. It never would and she dreamt it over and over again every night since his death but this night she felt like something different would happen.

5 hours later

Illaina brushed her teeth and changed into her night clothes. She slipped under the covers and fell into slumber.

(Her dream is in italics)

Illaina was walking around and she was five again. She walked to the tree where her brother was and sat beside him waiting for him to read to her. He looked at her for a couple of minutes and then began to read again.

"Aren't you gowing to wead to me Jeffwey?" She asked in a babyish 2 year old's voice. He looked at her with a smile and shook his head.

"I think it is time you read on your own, 'Laina." He said her nicknamee that was used not very often only when he was serious. She looked at him and paid attention.

"You need to find the world yourself. You need to go out and search it without me. I can't always be there for you. you need to write your own story; not mine." Jeffery said and dissapeared into the air.

Illaina woke up sweating and wondered what could that dream have meant. It had to have meant something as all dreams do but she couldn't quite place it. She had a feeling of what it meant but had little knowladge of what it meant. All she knew was that her brother was trying to send her a message. She needed to se his grave again. But right now she needed to go back to sleep b/c it was only 5 am. She would see him around six when every thing was dim outside.
