- before you read this, there are two things I would like to explain
-In truth, each chapter is cut short, due to the time limit of being in one place for a certain amount of time while on Gaia. The real copies that I hand-write inside a journal are longer, but cut short due to the previously stated rule.
-This Chapter is one of two things:
1-this Chapter is a Flashback
2-It's two parts, but due to both being long, and Me not being done with the next chapter, the original chapter 5 is cut into two separate chapters.
Chapter 5
One month after Meta and Zee disappeared
"Dark, get your stuff, we have a mission." Aeir said. He was already packed. Dark was confused, and he wondered if Aeir finally went crazy, until Aeir showed him the mission poster, and a map with a route, one that passes one of Distance City's famous rumors, the Restful Moon Inn. Aeir saw the look in Dark's face. "The mission's S-Rank, but they sent a escort from the ruins to get us. He's waiting outside for us." Dark started to get his stuff together, when he uncovered a piece of paper. "Aeir, looks like we can finally do that mission my brother left us." Dark was ready to go within ten minutes, so both headed outside to meet up with the escort.
"Finally done, are we? I am Vulcanus Zeo, my boss asked me to take you to the temple ruins that they're exploring, Enraged have been showing up, and the defense is weakening." He looked to see if there were more people going to show up, "Wait, the mission paper asked for at least ten men willing to actually fight Enraged, are you all that the Blade Kings Guild will send, or is this a joke. Your master said they would send the strongest people they had, the Compass Star."
"You're looking at them." Vulcanus looked at Aeir like he was crazy. "Go get your team's leader, and tell him that this isn't funny anymore." Again Aeir spoke, "You're looking at him."
This drove Vulcanus mad with anger, but he calmed down, "My boss is going to kill me, how are two boys going to defeat an army of Enraged?!"
Dark acted a little smart, "You'll see what Compass Star is capable of when we get there." Aeir put his hand in front of Dark, "Lead the way Vulcanus." Before they left, Vulcanus added, "Just call me Zeo, and lets get going." With that, they left for the ruins, and the Restful Moon Inn.
After traveling until it was pitch dark outside, they found the inn.
"From the look on your face, you're tired already."
Aeir showed him the paper Dark found while packing, the mission paper.
"A friend of ours traded it to us before he left, the paper wasn't stamped for approval until before we left, there's a rumor of a death curse on the Inn, our job is to exorcise the curse. Figured do this while we're here." As they walked in, the Innkeeper greeted them. "Welcome to the Restful Moon, Miss Aeola, your friend you were waiting for had a Dragon's Fang mark under his right eye, right?"
The girl known as Aeola jumped in front of Aeir and Zeo. "Vulcanus, the boss knew you would stop here, due to the long trip back from Distance, Jack was helping me pass the time by talking, until you walked in." Jack was getting a couple of drinks for his new guests. "Aeola! Don't start fight in the Inn, it's bad for business." Aeola stopped were she stood, mid-attack, and went to go sit back down. She looked at Aeir, curious about Dark also.
"Vulcanus, Boss just wanted me to inform you about getting there faster, but the defense improved, so they don't need me there now. Jack, can I get four rooms, one for each of us?" Jack gave Aeola the keys to the rooms, then Aeola gave Jack the money for the rooms. "Sleep well, and hope the rumors aren't true." With that, Jack closed shop for the night.
-Midnight-
Aeir got up, and he could tell the others were awake, for some reason or another. He reached for his bag, and pulled out his journal, "Might as well keep them informed when they get back." After writing in his journal, Aeir put it away and tried to sleep again, but couldn't. "I know you're there, you might as well show yourself." With that, a girl appeared in front of him.
"So you can sense any presence within a certain length."
I can do more, but you're not a threat to anyone, you aren't a curse, but the only spirit here." The girl didn't like what Aeir said. "I am NOT a spirit, I'm a Wind Goddess, and I should kill you for that remark!"
Aeir called it"You're a horrible lier, the only wind goddess is Fujin, and she's right here." He pulled out his gun, Fujin's mark on the gun. Aeir was nice, so he put the gun down.
"So, do you mind telling me who you really are?"
