For those of you who DO RP with me, and can stomach my sometimes pitiful creation attempts, will notice that one of my more mainstand RPC's will talk about Fate, Destiny, and... History?
Yes.
And they are not one and the same, in his eyes.
Rather than fill up your precious RP or your OOC with why, I will instead use this space to do just that.
He sees Fate, Destiny, and History as three seperate things, with seperate methods and seperate goals.
Essentially, It boils down to Fate and Destiny are at "War" with History. History has a set path it wants everything to follow, and will not allow for any changes at all. What History has written down will be done, and not only will it be done, but repeated and redone ad inifinitum.
Fate and Destiny, on the other hand, are similar in that they have their own paths thing should go down. Destiny happens to be less rigid than Fate, and Fate is less rigid than History. Fate will allow certain "Chosen" Ones to break the events that Fate has created, but no one else.
Destiny, on the other hand, has no events set in stone. Peoples destinies are their wishes and desires fulfilled, and nothing more. The destinies of some are to end up in conflict with each other, but this is to be expected.
However, the catch is that History's strength comes from Fate and Destiny fighting it. Because of Fate and Destinies differing methods, they allow History the power it has over everyone and everything.
SO eventually, he will not only need to kill History, but also Fate and destiny as well.
But here's the trick: How does one kill fate, if it was your fate? What if it was your destiny to Kill Destiny?
Maybe History made it so your ultimate goal was to destroy History.
How do you do these things?
Well, that's what we intend to try and figure out.
