A friend recently talked me into joining a political forum with him since he likes to discuss and debate politics. I was hesitant since I don't really like arguing with people. If Extended Discussion is any indication political forums are hardly a place to make new friends and have friendly discussions. Since he's my friend I joined anyway and sure enough it was another ED.

What really bothered me about that site was censorship. They have an auto filter in place and censors all swearing. World of Tanks has an optional censor you can turn on or off if that kind of stuff offends you. This forum automatically censors everything whether or not you can take it.

I also noticed a thread where several posts had notes from mods saying they had been edited. That doesn't sit well with me because I don't want some official to cut out stuff I say.

One particular moderator has been giving me a little bit of annoyance. I posted a question in a tech support forum then logged out. While I was gone a mod posted in the thread asking why I registered two accounts. 45 minutes later I had not replied to the thread because I was still offline so they PM'd me saying not answering would result in a ban so I discussed that with them then they completely ignored the issue at hand. A couple days ago they PM'ed me again telling me to change my "flame bait" location since I set my location to "In the imaginations of drunken rednecks everywhere". I guess some people can't take a joke. This mod was just doing their job, but I really don't care for such a pussified forum where I have to watch everything I say so I don't offend anyone.
