I have recently started work here at NeXus. Even with my condition, they were very kind to hire me. I know I have a strong laboratory background, but most turn away from hiring grombies, even those with multiple degrees. I have been diligent in making certain I take my treatments in a timely manner. I wouldn't want any slip ups. Apparently I am the first grombie they have hired to be on full staff. They have set my living quarters apart from everyone else for that reason. Most treat me with caution, but not one has been outright rude or anything.
A brilliant young scientist works with me in the lab. She is incredibly quick-witted and smart. She checks in on me regularly and asks me about my work. It's odd that when I ask her about what she is working on, she tends to change the subject back to my work, and sometimes to living with my condition. She is very interested in me. It's flattering, but puzzling. Some of her scientific input has certainly helped me on the work I have been charged with, but no breakthroughs yet!
I have yet to meet the overseer of NeXus Labs, Labtech X. It is my understanding that he can be a bit intimidating. No one has said it out right, of course, but you can see it in their eyes.
There seem to be a lot more surveillance bots in this lab than I expected. Perhaps it is because I have been out of the game for some time.
Hopefully next time I have a chance to enter my log I will have some good news!
