Vegas, the whole trip til today (Monday) |

It was one weird trip. We left late Friday night and took my car. i drove half the trip, ryan drove the other half. we got into vegas about 10 mins before midnight. we couldn't check in til ryan turned 21. we got to stay in the Excaliaber hotel. it had one awesome view of the strip! we went out drinking and hit the slots. we were up til 5am!!! got up on saturday about 12:45pm cause ryan's "best friend" kept calling. yeah, this is where it gets bad. i've never liked his friend, chris, very much to begin with, and this trip showed ryan just how bad chris really was.
first, chris like i said kept calling from 9:30 til we woke up! lik ehe thought we'd be up before noon after such a long drive anyway! then he gives wrong directions on how to get to his hotel. i'd already had enough, chewed him out, and left with yana (it was her 23rd birthday on the soth as well). turned out her hotel had some electrical probs in her tower, so we went to find out what would happen for her, and ryan turned up at that hotel. so instead of having a guy time, it was...in a way...all 5 of us. what i mean by in a way was, the other guy that came along, kyle, is dating yana, so chris was a mjor 3rd wheel, and really showing it. we all drank and gambled, but yana and kyle kept trying to avoid chris, so me and ryan were stuck with him. we needed to leave the casino we were in to get to the other side of the strip to pick up tickets for "KA" (asian themed Cirque De Soliel!) but since ryan was trying to humor chris, we ended up rushing all the way there. we were told to pick up our tix 2 hrs before the show, but we couldn't find the paper with all the info!!! so i dropped off ryan so he could run up to the room while i parked. he couldn't find it! turned out it'd fallen to the sloor where he wouldn't have seen it unless he'd slowed down a bit. so he ran to the MGM hotel where we needed to pick up the tix to see if he could get them anyway. i ran up to the room, found the paper and ran all the way to the MGm myself! i would've called him, but kyle had left ryan's cell in chris' car!!! anyway, made it, got the tix, and went back our room to relax. during all this chris is all drunk and keeps calling!!! by then neither one of us wanted to hang out with him anymore and just wanted to get ryan's phone back. we told chris we'd call him when we got out the of show.
KA rocked!!! no real talking, just singing, dancing, acrobatics, and pyrotechnics! there were is fireworks ON THE STAGE!!! it was amazing!!!
afterwards, we called chris, he told us he was IN the Circus Circus hotel, BACK ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STRIP! we get over there, and tuns out, after we ran all over the Circus casinos (there were 2!), that he was next door! chris gets all angry and ryan for yelling at him, even though chris was the one at fault. but for the rest of the night from 1am-5am chris kept calling my cell and ryan's leaving ******** up messages saying that i'd ruined their friendship, but at the same time saying he loved ryan still, hen on top of it cursing ryan out, and saying they were never really close anyway!! it made no sense. but yeah, he's a loser drunk anyway, and ryan finally agreed to stop talking to him, at least til chris changes his attitude. so for the rest of the night we gambled, drank, and had dinner. we went to bed and 5ish am again.
got up around 1pm (we'd asked for a late check out), packed up, checked out and walked around the strip for a while. we went to the Luxor, New York New York, MGM, then finally went of a gondola ride in the Venetain Hotel!!! it was SOOO romantic. it usually costs $60 to get a private gondala, but we came at the right time and only paid half the price and got a private one with a great gondoliar! so many people took our picturs cause we were the only lone couple!
after that we went to treasure island, hoping to see the pirate show there, but it ws WAY too windy. so we got more drinks and gambled. but we won! not a lot, but most people we know come back broke!
we left around 9pm...guess it wasn't the best idea. we knew it was going to rain the closer we got the valley, but we totally weren't expecting the amount that there was. i drove til we got to the city of hesperia, then switched with ryan. we get just before pasadena and the rain comes POURING down!!! halfway through pasadena while we're still on the freeway we see someone spin out from one end of the freeway tot he other and hit the center divider! scary thing to see, so we really slowed down. didn't really help much though.....
as we're switching freeways, ryan goes though a huge puddle mixed with oil. we spun out and bounced off the center divider ourselves!!!! don't really remember much til the tow truck showed up. i didn't really see how mad the damage was til today. anyway, ryan's mom came and got us and took us home. what a way to end a weekend!
anyway, today we saw the damage. i didn't have to call my insurance company cause no other cars were involved. but the car was totally ********! $5000+ damage to the back end of the car! and it turns out no amount of slowing down would've helped. a piece of metal from a previously cleared accident was still on the freeway. it was punctured the right rear tire which had caused the spin out and to pop my front right tire as well. the trunk was pushed up, and the rear bottom of the trunk was totaled. so we took everything out of the car, and now i'm selling it for parts through a company i know....yeah, i'm carless. but there wasn't anything that could've been done. but i'm not really that upset. ryan and i are fine, just had dizzy headaches that night and when we got up. also, there were already probs with the car that would've cost a lot to fix anyway. so it almost seems like a blessing.
i'll find out later today (tuesday) how much i can get for the car.
now to find a new car.
and ryan and i are, funny enough, closer than ever. funny how things crazy things bring people closer.
but please pray for me in whatever way to do that i'm able to get a car soon.
