Once upon a time there was a boy who was in love with his friend, but he new she didn’t love him back. Then she got sick and told him, “when the last leaves fall from the vine outside my window, I will die..” But he still could not tell her he loved her, because he knew she didn’t feel that way about him.

When the leaves had nearly all fallen, he went outside to prevent her from dying, by painting them back on. But when he looked into her window he saw she could see him, also a man all in black who had murdered a girl by burying her alive was standing in the door way, the boy mouthed to her to call the police but before she could reach the phone, the man threw an ice pick through her neck, and tore her limb from limb. Then her house burned down and Santa laughed.

Later at her funeral they read from her diary, it said,” I was in love with him, but I was too shy to tell him, even though I knew I was going to die.” And he knew, she was referring to him.
