It’s gotten so hot over these past few days. Over the weekend, Dottie decided to take a trip to visit her cousin who lives an hour away from here, and she invited me to come along. I didn’t want to intrude upon her cousin, but Dottie talked me into it. Her cousin has a swimming pool, so we got to cool off. We had a good time playing games with her cousin’s kids and their friends. At least it was fun until one of them tried to jump on top of me, a younger kid but very big for his age. It hurt my neck as I got pushed under. Dottie yelled at him for doing it. I hope she didn’t scare him too much. I’m sure he never meant to hurt me, still I wasn’t too happy with him myself at the time.

After swimming, we were served a wonderful meal of stuffed shells in tomato sauce. With all the energy I spent in the pool, it sure was good to eat! About an hour later, we jumped back in the water for another round. Dottie’s cousin took some photos of us around the pool and said she would e-mail them to us.

Dottie and I spent the night there and left the next day. You know what they say: all good things…Today is Monday, and I’m back to spending time with Mr. Horitt, who hates to see me happy.
