back in the demonic dimension *rose*
Luman twitched his arm, as the sensor he wore reported the return of his neice. He smiled, and this sudden and unusual change of expression alerted those around him.

"What is it?" asked his sister Uli.

"Something wrong?" asked one of her henchmen. Her second in command.
The female in her employ simply checked all the computer systems, to make sure nothing was wrong. And there was no change in this wing of the house, at least. She expanded her search to the remainder of the house, while...

"No, nothing wrong." Luman stated blandly. Then he stood. "Just something I've been working on. I have to keep tabs on it, of course."

Hiellin's computer search had found no uncommon occurances within the house or on the perimeter.

"I must attend it, though, I'm afraid." Luman said, taking a few steps back. "I am still intruiged by your plans for our family's future, dear Uli. And we will continue your line of thought, if... it matters, at that point... later."

With that he swept out of the room, flashing his over-large coat as he left, to make himself look even more grand.

"I don't like it." Uli said, and her second in command nodded.

Hiellen looked up after the door closed after Luman. "I don't see anything unusual." she said in her overly calm way. "However, that led me only to check the usual." Uli smiled. The girl was truly a benefit to have. "Someone came back through the teleport to the house." she said simply. "About three minutes ago."

Uli smiled, and rubbed her hands together. "Good. We'll just have to see who he's got, then, eh?" she said to Heillin, who simply nodded, and started tapping into the house's camera security system.

"There they are." said Heillin, and put the view on the front display screen. Luman was bringing a limp girl down the stairs, slung over his shoulders like a sack of potatoes. There was no clear view of her face, even though Heillin kept switching camera angles. He then went up another back set of stairs.

"That's odd." stated Uli, and the others looked at her. They didn't go into any wing except Uli's, whose was the second largest. The stairs that Luman just went up were not his.

Uli looked at her companions, and huffed. "Those," she explained exasperatedly, "used to belong to our half brother, Arcus. The one Luman killed earlier this year?" she said, hoping they'd catch the clue. Heillin did.

"The one... whose daughter we were supposed to nab."

Uli nodded, and the others understood, as well.

It did seem as though Luman may have gotten to her, somehow, and hadn't thought to include them. Whyever not, they knew not. Nor did they care. But he wouldn't get credit for this one all alone. Oh no. They were going to tap into this, somehow. After all, Mother was still expecting greatness from her offspring, and had not yet passed on her greatest and most powerful gifts. And Uli intended not to be left out.

Luman laid Rose down on her bed. He had checked for pulse automatically, and she had not expired. In fact, she seemed worn out. He smiled as he closed the door behind him on his way out. She had done some things, for sure. Now, to find out exactly what.

He went back down the stairs and up his own set. He entered his wing and logged into his systems. It only took him two minutes to check on all the places he had listed for her.

"Little demon!" he said happily to his screen. He looked at the dim non-moving house of Chazu, and then at the destruction over at the Dragon's house. 'It was really more of a test of mind, to ensure the control I have. But she passed outright, and I think made things much easier for me to keep clean.' he thought. Now, I wonder if I should set her back to finish with that Sephrain fellow and the Cat. I wonder what she could do with that?

His laughter was loud and brisk, and also muted by his soundproof walls. Yet, and still unconscious, Rose still shuddered in her sleep.

Luman, when I'm back to normal and fully healed...I am so ripping you apart piece by piece as slowly as I can.
