Chapter 2
“AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH,” I shouted waking up. I stared around I was safely in the bed no monster about to bite my neck nothing. I was safe. The next day we took our finals the teachers said it would take us till the end of the month. The days went by and turned into weeks the weeks added up into almost a month and we were done. It was the night before the last day of school and my dad had found the letter about Colorado.
“You can go, but take the sword hilt,” my dad said.
“Are you going to come,” I asked him.
“No, but take your sword hilt and carry it with you when you climb,” he said.
“Why it does nothing,” I asked curious.
“I think you may need it,” he said and winked. He handed me back a letter and I had another peculiar dream.
“Breanna, Breanna look at your home look how it shine with glory look at the grass,” a voice said. In front of me was a green luscious forest full of fruits and animals grazing in the grass. It’s beautiful I thought.
“This land will soon turn into a polluted dead land and you can only stop it,” the voice said again. A hand washed away the land and filled the darkness with a dark planet with all the animals killed and polluted air.
“How can I change it I have no powers or anything,” I said.
“Use the sword hilt or rather the sword become a hero,” the voice said, “Come to our world using the words, help us”
“What words there are no words,” I said rather loudly then expected. It echoed through the darkness that surrounded me. Then words materialized:
Never fear the darkness
There is always light in dark
Follow the way to the light
You shall see anything you want
Follow the path to darkness
You shall be blinded and fall off
“What does it mean,” I shouted,” What.” The darkness came and I saw a path. I walked and saw another path. I started to walk the other path but before I could take another step a light began to show on the first path. I remembered the poem but I thought doesn’t everyone say don’t go towards the light or you’ll die. Don’t follow it you’re probably in a hospital go towards the darkness. It was a voice in my head saying this. But one big voice was saying go towards the light remember the poem, follow the light you shall see anything you want. Go to the light you won’t die you’ll go to the world and help them out. GO TOWARDS THE DARKNESS OR YOU’LL DIE!!!!!!!!! It startled me and I fell off the path.” AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH,” I shouted.
“Wake up,” my dad said, “You’re dreaming and it’s time for school, wake up.” I sluggishly got out of bed and got ready for school. I went downstairs and put on my coat, shoes, and backpack. I went outside and ran to my buss stop and got there just in time to catch the bus. The whole bus ride I thought about the dream, I wanted to go back and follow the light and see where it lead me. I wish, I thought I wish I did. That day we had no finals we were done and every teacher was saying,” You have to be better in junior year, it is much tougher.” I didn’t listen whenever I heard those words I know it would be the same speech the other teacher gave. After school was done I talked to Merrisa and told her I could go. She told me the trip was the day after tomorrow. She said she would pick at 10:00 a.m.
“Ok but I may not be ready,” I said, I usually overslept during summer. I had to go home with Darrell again.
“What did you say,” I asked I’m pretty sure I heard him mumble something.
“Nothing,” he told me keeping his eyes on the rode.
“I have always seen the face behind the name but today the face just doesn’t fit. I have found out that their names aren’t real,” he sang.
“Beautiful,” I said and he began to blush.
“It’s nothing just a stupid song the men were singing. The other verses explained that we were somehow from another planet. I’ve been trying to figure out the family they were looking for. Some family with the last names of Otello.”
“Othello really,” I asked.
“Yeah they said: the Othello’s shall burn they left their land they had a plan to kill us. It backfired and killed one of them now they live here with the earthen brats,” he sang.
“Is that so,” I said. My family was the Othello’s I didn’t tell him or he might’ve been mad. He looked up after he stopped at a red light.
“You know what the best thing about having a car still on ground is,” he said.
“What?” I asked.
“No traffic, look at those poor suckers stuck not going anywhere just because everyone has a hover car,” he said smiling. I laughed.
“I mean there should be another car other then me on a road right,” he said. When we got to his place I fell instantly to sleep on the couch. I don’t know why, I was so tired all of a sudden. I dreamed of an animal a creature with the head of a dog but the head had horns at the back of its ears. It was a devil dog I thought but even though its front was a dog the back had wings. It was a winged devil hound. “More like a cogrim,” a voice said suddenly.
”What’s a cogrim there is no such word.”
“Sure there is,” and the voice’s body began to take shape but it was to dark to tell.
“Are you from the other world,” I said and I saw he was a wearing a black hooded coat.
“Yes,” it said, “I came to warn you about the path to darkness. What you saw wasn’t true, the darkness isn’t the worst it’s the safest route. It has darkness surrounding you that hides you from monsters and evil. It also would help you sneak up on people who you want to kill. So it’s the safest route for you,” It said.
“It’s not safe at all, it will blind me of the light shining that helps me see enemies in the light. The light will help me find out if thou is friend or foe,” I said unexpectedly shouting. A light ray burned into the darkness then another the guy had fell down and his hood fell off. He had blond hair and purple eyes I mean really deep purple. He got up and still it seems he was persistent in turning me to darkness. He raised his hand out to me, there where more razes of sun and I saw he looked exactly like Darrell. A dark cloud appeared under his feet sucking him in. I reached my hand out to him trying to save him but when my hand slightly grazed his a dark cloud appeared under me too. I saw him disappear under the cloud and I realized he had joined the dark. I saw my friend disappear into the darkness as I was disappearing myself.
The next day I went to the store and bought some things for the trip but I still kept remembering the dream. So unreal no way Darrell is having these dreams no way.
“Are you ready for tomorrow,” my dad asked, even though it was still the afternoon.
“What did you expect, I haven’t even packed I’ll pack later,” I said then I remembered the conversation I had with Darrell.
“What,” my dad said.
“Nothing why,” I asked.
“You looked sad,” he answered.
“You were just imagining things,” I said and walked to my bedroom I should have told him I said and sat on my bed. I saw a book on my bed, “that’s funny,” I thought,” I didn’t put a book there.” I laid on my bed and opened the book called The Advanced book of the world and it read:
Chapter 1: creatures and demons
Creatures: animals that don’t work for demons
Centaur: human with the body horse only seen trying to battle never seen doing anything else.
Phoenix: bird of the flame and known for its bravery. It usually dies and gets reborn within a week or to as a new bird. It needs a nest in order to do that.
Unicorn: horse with a horn that keeps to itself unless someone’s in trouble.
Jage: little pixie that has horns and usually picks up after the pixies tricks.
Pixie: little elf that loves playing tricks.
Elf: a human with pointed ears and usually uses bows.
Brownie: a helpful cat slash dog that stands on hind legs.
Griffin: An eagle with the hind legs of a lion very proud of itself and very smart.
Dragon: Isn’t with evil but isn’t with good that much either
Demons: animals that work for evil
Vampire: A human that has fangs and white skin. Needs blood in order to live and can’t stay in light or it will be killed.
Roc: Large bird strong enough to carry an elephant.
Faun: has the body of a human and legs and horns of a goat and usually is able to transform.
Derager: vampire centaur that still seeks blood.
Senar: Phoenix with the strength of a roc.
Ferta: an elf centaur.
Weezer: A centaur but has the body of a unicorn.
Bizocky: snakelike body with a hundred legs that had venom on its scales.
Cogrim: winged devil hound that works to only when called.
Wyrt: a dragon that is like a Phoenix because it burns into flames put doesn’t have to be in a nest, has the biggest teeth.
Dwarf: A creature as tall as and elf child and really good digger.
“Wow,” I said aloud, “They have very strange animals is it a fiction book” I read on:
Chapter 2: Lands of this land
Lands of evil
Griven: a land with the ruler of great evil.
Arcand: the land ruled by the henchmen of the ruler of Griven.
Daren: Land ruled by none but is devoted to the evil.
Wyrthy: Land of only Wyrts.
Lands of good ruled by the king and queen of Santra
Acrace: Land used for stores and transportation mostly
Santra: Where the King and Queen live and are raised, the main land.
Mitega: the land that transports people to places and is full of shops, it’s the biggest area.
Terta: Land full of only good creature and has no government but only pays attention to the King and Queen.
Derferan: Land full of elves, pixies, and jages and almost always obeys the King and Queen.
Chapter 3---- I feel asleep and I hadn’t even packed yet. The next day I woke up at 6:00 and started to pack and I was still half asleep. I packed almost everything I need except my cellular phone. My friends came to pick me up around 10:00 I got in the car and we headed to the airport. Since we lived in Missouri in only took a few an hours I can’t tell you how long, I went to sleep. Once we got to the hotel we got unpacked and went to a restaurant for dinner. We were going to climb the Rocky Mountains tomorrow so we need all the energy we could get. I ended up eating so much that I was so tired. I went to sleep and they said they would give us a wake up call at 6:00. The next day I woke up so tired at six that I immediately head the table as if it had a clock. Once I got up I went in the car with my sword hilt like my dad said and we headed to the Rocky Mountains.
Nobody read my last one rolleyes but I posted another one so if u didn't read it last time read it this time biggrin plz cry
