Fashion is fascinating. I've heard many people, specifically friends of mine, tell me that fashion is ridiculous and reflects how vain our society is. Maybe so, but I still find myself drawn to runway shows, results of Olympus Fashion Week, and yes, gofugyourself.com.

Fashion shows culture. It's an art form. And to quote Devil Wears Prada, "it's better than art because people live their lives in it," which is completely true. Clothing brings to light a person's individuality... Most people will say that it's unfair to judge someone before getting to know them, but to a certain extent it's possible and logical. For example, if you saw someone wearing a bright red gown with Armani boots you could determine a thing or two about them. They're most likely confident, charismatic, etc. As the book Blink talks about, certain colors represent specific personality traits.

Not to mention fashion is fascinating if you go back a couple hundred years and examine the progression of fashion from now to the present. You'll see in the changing styles the changes which were occuring in society and politics as well. Intriguing? Yep.
