Incapasitated by the vampires stare, Kittie watched as he inched closer to her. He extended his arm and opened his hand reaching for her. She looked back at him with her eyes full of fear, her only wish was to be able to see her Love once more before death.

Kittie then heard a strange sound behind her followed by footsteps. The tears in her eyes blurred her vision but she was able to make out a man in armor and a white robe with long silver hair. Kittie knew at once that it was her Demon Lord, Sesshomaru, coming to her aid. Shessy gently pushed her behind him ready to defend her with his life. The monster lunged at Sesshy furiously, meaning him harm. Kittie knew the vampire was no match for the great demon and Sesshy would have killed him with ease. However feeling a slight connection with her assailant she rushed to Sesshy's side and took his arm. She urged her beloved not to kill him. This confused him a bit but he respected her wishes and grabbed him by the throat with his free hand. Clawing desperatly for air he pointed at the red jewel on Kittie's forehead and told her that it was the key to her past. An expression of confusion came across her, and she demanded him to explain. Sesshomaru threw the vamp to the ground and ordered him to answer. It looked up at him and chuckled, taunting him. Sesshy began losing patience and pulled his Tensaiga from his hip, threatening the creatures miserable life. It smirked at him, shaking his head.

"You put up such a fight for one you know so little about.... Tell me, what do you know about her, eh? Anything? What has she told you about herself.... do you even know where her loyalties lie? I dout it..."

This infuriated Sesshomaru and he stabbed the Tensaiga into the ground, reminding the creature of the serious predicament that he was in. Fearing for his existance the vampire scrambled to his feet and did as he was told. He looked at Kittie.....

"The jewel on your forehead... how long have you had it?" Kittie thought for a moment.
"For as long as I can remember..." He nodded at her
"And how far back do your memories go?" Kittie looked down at the ground.
"I ....can only remember the past year. Nothing before that...." she looked back up at him. "But what does that have to do with the jewel?" He smiled at her in an almost kind way.
"It has everything to do with it. You will only remember your past when you wish to........"

The vampire looked back at Sesshomaru and began speaking to him sarcasticly, but Kittie was too consumed by the information she had just recived to understand what was said. She heard Sesshy speaking forcefully to the creature and she snapped back to reality.

"THAT is all I know... now, if you'll excuse me I have bussiness to tend to else where....." Sesshy looks at the vampire.
"When did I excuse you from my presence? If Lady Kittie has more questions, you will answer them... only then are you allowed to leave!"
"I don't need permission to leave from the likes of you! I am a free spirit and answer to no one!" The vampire ran off into the night, disappearing in the shadows.

Placing both hands on Sesshomaru's shoulders, Kittie whispered in his ear...
"Let him go, he has nothing more to tell us."
Kittie hugged him from behind and began to cry. Sesshy Turned and hugged her tightly, then wiped away her tears. Feeling as though she had betrayed the trust of her Love, she apologized for not telling him the truth from the start. Sesshy reassured her that his love for her hadn't changed and that he would always stay by her side. She looked up at him with her big cat eyes and asked him not to leave her that night. Looking back at her lovingly, he agreed. It was decided that she would stay with him in his home. Waving his hand in the air, he opened a portal in front of them. Kittie then realized that the strange sound she had heard coming from behind her, was in fact the portal being opened. Sesshy took her hand and they both stepped through to the other side, revealing his bedroom with candles lit and moonlight pouring in softly from the windows....
