Rufus's Journals (Stories)
Well, these journals are more like stories. Stories of my character Rufus. I'm writing out his whole past, and sense I was getting more addicted to Gaia I felt I should post them up here. ^^ Please Enjoy!
Heaven and Hell Chapter 2
Kiden sat at the river by himself, quietly thinking. Splashing his feet into the water he swayed them back and forth. It had been a week sense he saw the strange angel Lucifer. But he still could not stop thinking about him. All of a sudden a thought popped into Kiden’s head, as his imagination played out for him. Kiden and Lucifer alone, as Lucifer pushed Kiden down and-

“Kiden? Hey, how are things…?” Cain smiled as Kiden’s fantasy disappeared, him blushing and looking down. “…it’s all your fault.” Cain stared confused and sat down next to him. “Huh…?” “It’s all your fault. I’m thinking… w-weird… things…. I haven’t been able to forget about Lucifer…” He held himself, blushing. “…and my body has been doing… weird things too….” Cain watched Kiden curiously. “You shouldn’t blame me for these feelings Kiden. I didn’t do anything.” “Hanging out with you did something!” Kiden snapped as Cain blinked. “…look, Kiden. I’ve been looking around and examining people a lot… yes…. I have been in town. But… something strange is going on.”

Kiden watched confused as Cain pondered a moment. “…I noticed Lucifer and his friends also acted different from the status quo. They were rough housing….” He looked over to Kiden. “Then I did a little survey with a few people. About twenty really. Everyone sixteen and above were innocent and pure…. But everyone fifteen and below acted different from other angels, not just in love, but in violent games, rude comments…” “They’re totally different….” Kiden added as he stared. “…what…. What is happening then?” Cain stared then looked to the god’s temple. “…something is wrong up there….” Kiden stared at the temple, it seemed so far away at this point. “…people must know about all this by now….!” “….angels are innocent, well, the older ones anyhow. I don’t think they would understand what was happening unless it was shoved in they’re face. Everest doesn’t understand how I feel, she’s seventeen…. And totally clueless about me.” He watched the sky again as Kiden stared down nervously. “…what do you think is going to happen to us?” Cain glanced over. “Huh?” “Us! You know, me, you, the angels… this is something that shouldn’t be happening! Angels aren’t supposed to feel feelings like that, yet they are! Something very serious is happening Cain!!”

“…I know.” Cain watched the sky and slowly stood up. “…we’re moving finally. To the house two houses down. It’s much bigger for just me and Everest. We should be really comfortable now.” Kiden stared and stood up. “…do you need help packing? Or moving anything?” “We just have some foods and some of the dolls and bowls me and Everest made out of grass.” “That’s actually a lot of stuff. You do that all the time.” Cain stared and stood up. “Yeah, I guess you’re right. Come on, I don’t want to make her do it all herself.”

Getting to the small house, he glanced up and looked around. “…Everest?” Kiden stretched a moment as he yawned, Cain glancing inside the house. “Ever-AH!” He stumbled back as another mans face was at the door. It was sudden so it freaked Cain out. “W-who… who are you?” “Oh, sorry for startling you. My name is Raguel. I live down the street. I decided to come over and help you move.” Raguel smiled a genuine innocent smile as Cain stared then slowly smiled a smile back. “Oh…! Well, well thank you! That’s very considerate of you!” “Eh, it’s not a problem at all! Come on, I’ll carry some things.” Everest nodded as she picked up a few things herself and walked out with Raguel, Cain staring at the both of them. Kiden glanced over to Cain nervously. “….Cain…?”

Cain stared out the door and watched as they both walked down the small dirt street, smiling and laughing with each other. The air in the room seemed tense as Kiden stared nervously, as he walked over and carefully set his hand on Cain’s shoulder, Cain still staring out the door. “…Cain?” Cain’s face couldn’t be seen, but when he looked over to Kiden his usual smile appeared on his lips. “Yes?” Kiden stared nervously watching. “…nothing….” He slowly let go as he looked away.

“…why don’t you stop smiling Cain? Every time I see you…. You’re smiling… I never see any other emotion on your face….” “Angels aren’t supposed to have emotion Kiden.” Kiden stared at Cain, wringing his hands. Something always seemed… wrong… about Cain…. Never changing his emotions or his face… angels do have emotions, and when something bad happens they show sadness or remorse…. But… Cain….

“Have you found Lucifer again Kiden?” Cain asked as Kiden stared. “..n-no….” He blushed slightly and covered his face. “…not exactly…. I mean, I’ve searched for him…” Cain stared and laughed. “He could be up at the god temple.” Kiden looked over stunned. “What…!?” “Didn’t you know? He’s the son of the almighty god himself, Murete, and the mother of nature Geia. They say he might even become more powerful then Murete himself, or so the rumors go.” Kiden stared hurt then sighed. “…a god…. I don’t stand a chance…” “You didn’t stand much of a chance before.” Cain spoke as he became silent, Everest and Raguel walked back in laughing and talking as they picked up more items, leaving without a second glance to Kiden or Cain. Cain watched silently again.

Kiden watched and smiled, rushing up behind Cain and practically jumping him. It was a way to get Cain out of this. “Hey! I got a great idea! Why don’t we go out to the river!?” He spoke, his arms still wrapped around Cain’s neck as Cain stared and smiled weakly. “…well… sure!” He pulled Kiden’s arms off of himself. “But… no more of that, okay?” Kiden smiled weakly and nodded. “Of course! Sorry….! Ha ha….” Cain walked out as Kiden sighed scratching his head. He had never seen anyone act like that… it was…. A little scary…. He was happy he got Cain out of it…. While walking out he watched Cain. Cain’s eyes slowly glanced over to Raguel and Everest, who had walked out of the new house again for more things. Kiden stared down quickly. There seemed to be something strange in the air never felt before…. jealousy as one would call it… as they both walked to the town.
