Week Thirty: Reelin' In the Years Wow, it's been a long week - and what better way to end it than with a journal update that actually comes out in the morning eek . No sleeping in for me! Instead of me sitting here daydreaming about real dreaming in my comfy bed, let's proceed... One Foot in the Grave I got to model the new Gaia shirt last week, resulting in a terrible picture that has resulted in a lot of buzz and set the GCD temporarily ablaze. Actually, that's an overstatement - it's probably more appropriate to say that it sparked discussion in the GCD. The conclusions: Older people on Gaia are great Gaia is a site for everyone Kids under 13 cause more problems than adults do Also for the record, I'm 23, I shave my head, and YES, for the last time, that's me in the picture! Also, don't forget, the shirts are limited in supply - they're selling out fast! Not-So-Secret ULTRA SECRET Projects I'm in the middle of 3 projects right now that those in the know are aware of. One of them is a minor project that should be released soon, and the other two are projects that definitely will be released next month. As for why I'm doing this instead of making new Quests, well, read last week's post scream Though the upside is that in doing these projects, I'm going to be creating new gameplay elements for use in Quests. So if you thought quests were just going to be posting and gathering items and stuff that already exists on the site, you're probably wrong rofl So I've been in the office working until midnight a few nights this week (who said devs were lazy?) to make sure that we have plenty of time to test all the code well in advance of their release. A Friendly Reminder About "Hackings" Hey guys! I hoped I wouldn't have to bring this up, but since I still get PMs constantly about it, I figured I'd mention it here: No REAL admin will EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER give out your password to anyone. Even if I asked you, you shouldn't! No admin will ever ask for it! Most "hackings" are really just scams wherein a user poses as an admin and convinces users to give them their password. sweatdrop Board Chow! Older people on Gaia are great. rofl OMG! =O I LOVED NeverEnding Story when I was younger. I used to watch it whenever it was on Disney. 	This age debate is silly. When I first got on the internet I was 16 years old. I'd pretty much wager that's the average age around here. Now, is it so strange to believe that someone at 16 would still have similar interests a few years later? I'm 21 years old now and still actively use the internet. Just because I hit a certain number in age. Should not limit my interests and hobbies. It's all about your state of mind, and not on a number. At least that's my personal opinion. I just can't wait to see what these young kids who are complaining about older users. Will be doing in a few years. I'm sure, some of them will still be visiting the boards or sites they did when they started. rolleyes

	Older people on gaia are Great I'm 20 (be 21 this year) and frankly... considering that when I first got into the internet at 16 all I ever looked up was pron (And people that I really shouldn't of been talking to at 16 sweatdrop ), Gaia's a much much healthier use of my time. and a hell of a lot better then Neopets. which I did try, I got tired of 12 year olds quickly, Upgraded to Gaia (by way of a friend who was also on both sites) and haven't visited my 4 Neopets accounts since. the 12 year olds on Gaia tend to stick to the chatterbox, where I never go because I actally like a topic of conversation when I talk to people P.s. Is that really you in that picture? you'e kind of cute heart I love shaved heads, my Ex had one and I loved petting the stubble. wink

	First of all Horray for new gameplay elements! blaugh shoots off fireworks Second, I know what you mean about little kids on Gaia. I think it's because of they are still dependant on their parents. I always get about two every time I sell something over 20k. They always say stuff like: "Can I hav your wings plz? I'm 12 (WHAT ARE YOU DOING ON GAIA?) and I need it for my dream avi heart heart blaugh blaugh 3nodding whee whee biggrin biggrin smile mrgreen 3nodding heart emoticon abuse" I really don't understand why people couldn't figure out that you weren't some teen or something. You haven't tried to ever say you were, and you work for Gaia. Your birthdate's even on your profile. Can't people do math?!?

	Oh Fleep. YOU really deserve more GFU's than you get. xd it's a shame how one picture can spark discussions as to who's actually "fit" to exist in Gaia, which is completely retarded. I mean, you're just 3 months older than I am, but that doesn't mean either you or I or anyone in our age range or above can't enjoy this webiste...and anyone saying the contrary should be beat up with a big shovel upside the head. xd now as for keyboards...let's just say that they don't like me so much. I'm only 19, and I still fiddle around with Gaia. xp I also would like to say that you're not ugly either. I don't get why people say things like, it's weird when old people are on Gaia. 	GOOD LORD chillun's, 21 is not old!! I'm 36 and there is a strong contingency of people who are gasp older than I am. It's the under 13 who are annoying as hell. Us old people keep to ourselves and make our own rooms and generally leave you randy youngsters who think you know everything and nothing to yourselves. That said, I have met quite a few younger people who are worth my time and energy and are fun and interesting to chat with. The point of my rant? Don't limit yourself. We aren't all like your parents (even if some of us are parents).

	XD Fleep, you tease! That is very interesting to know about the Quest system and makes me all the more excited for it! Omigoodness, I don't know what to say about 'hackings.' As they are giving their passwords away the RED BOX pops up saying an admin/mod will never ask for their password and they send it anyway. It's warned against in signatures, in stickies, in the newsletters...seriously, what more can you guys do?!

However, I never imagined you were 23, you looked older. That or, I look like a teenager o.o; no one would ever guess I was 22 by my picture.
