TNG's Prattles
Just a few ideas, basic thoughts, flashes of wit (rare these days) and whatever else comes to mind that I simply HAVE to write down.

It's been a while since I've made an entry into my logs. For one, I've been ill and not wanted to do much of anything. It must be due to the change in location. I've been innoculated for most planet types but I guess I caught a strain never seen before. I was beddridden for a few days, and the rest of the time was taken with trying not to cough up my lungs. I'm still recovering from the effects of this terrible illness, though I believe I'm now over the worst of it.

Another reason for my absence from the logs is I've been a little distracted. Since the last writing I have been witness to 2 special events held worldwide on this small planet. One was for Valentine's Day, which coincidentally matches the same date where I came from. Now that is funny... I can remember the day, but not where I came from.

On this day we were all encouraged to kiss one another and for every 5 people we kissed we received little red heart shaped necklaces. I apparently was a hit with everyone as I wound up kissing 250 people and received a grand total of 411 kisses! Now my only thought is what to do with all those pretty necklaces. I think I'll hold onto them and see if they can be sold later for a good price.

On a grander note I must mention that I entered a few small contests the locals were holding in celebration of this day. I somehow won four special "sealed" envelopes. These envelopes held rare items which were just brought out this month. In a fit of kindness I bequeathed 2 of them to 2 very special people here on Gaia, and kept the last two for myself. I must note that once we were able to open them (after the event was over) we all chose the same item: the Celestial Wrap (for me it reminds me of... somewhere in space... my old home possibly?).

Another event held was that the small world itself had a "birthday"! During this event one simply had to remember specific details gleaned from the news archives and answer all 10 questions supplied correctly. People were permitted to "retake" this "quiz" every 5 minutes. If the answers were all correct you "won" 1 of 3 different coloured Roman Candles. They were quite interesting. I had hoped to get enough to spell out SOS on the roof of my house, but sadly I'm missing some from the last letter. It looks more like SOC... though I must say it has increased my sock collection from having none at all to 2 pairs!

Things are relatively back to normal now, though the price of candles is skyrocketing.

TNG... signing off.
