Well... a whole week has gone by since I entered myself into the Gaian Arena. I'm happy with my results... I made it in the top 500 (my final rank was 421). Thanks to all 750 of you wonderful Gaians who voted for me! My rating wound up averaging at 7.5 and I've been told that for the outfit I chose this was very good!
I may in the future enter again as this was quite fun. I'll have to find something unique and different than most... though this is becoming quite hard to do.
There are days when I look up at the night sky during my wandering about the towns and wonder about the place I left behind. To my chagrin, I find I am thinking less and less of my 'old' home, wherever that may be. I look up at those unfamiliar stars in hope... yet none call out to me, tugging me, saying this was your home!
Is this an effect of the planet I am on, or is this simply my mind's way of giving in to the inevitable, knowing I may never see my place of origin ever again? With all memories of my 'former life' apparently wiped upon my arrival, I can't even know if I should mourn my fate or be thankful.
Some days I wonder.
