I can't believe the length of time between this log and the last. I should be recording more often, yet... I get so distracted by the every day events of this facinating planet! It's getting longer and longer between my logs, and in some way, part of me feels... glad... about it. I can't explain the feeling, but I'm sure if and when anyone from my own world eventually does find me, they may understand once they've been here a while.
There has been a lot since my last report. I'll try to be brief with my summery of them.
Saint Patrick's Day: Normally I never celebrate this day, indeed the memories I can dig up of my old world reveal that not very many people from my geological area didn't do too much either. Here, however, there were free clovers to be found all over Gaia, and even some in the special towns... if one could enter them, that is. I found it almost impossible to enter any of the towns due to the mass of visitors for the entire 3 day event. If you collected enough clovers found elsewhere (not the ones from the towns) you could take them to a special place to exchange them for one of 3 items.. a floppy clover hat, a small pin to wear on your shirt, or a hardier hand held clover. I was lucky enough to get one of each for myself and my friend who was unable to participate. The clovers from the towns could not be exchanged, but they sold for more than anything else found in the towns (excepting boxes and chests).
April Fools Day : This seems to be another "familiar" day of "celebration" so to speak. I found a very pretty wrapped black box and, like the few other boxes I've found on my wanderings, I proceeded to open it. I was ecstatic when I discovered a Platinum Halo inside! In my excitement I forgot what day this was... I placed it immediately on my head and was shocked when it promptly blew up on my head, leaving me with a soot covered face and my hair steaming slightly. Once I got over my initial shock, I actually found the "new" item very amusing... though I vowed not to open any other black boxes without X-Raying them and poking them several times first.
Easter: Another familiar holiday here. I was all excited, as I'd read in the archives of this planet how grand the last Easter Event was and rumoured to be quite fun to participate in. I was disappointed; it was almost identical in presentation as the previous St. Patrick's Day event... the only thing different was small orange eggs were the items found instead of clovers, which when exchanged one was granted either a small, medium or large baby chickie that followed you or rode on your shoulder or head. I never got into the towns at all the 3 days the event was held, though many were saying it was unlike the SPD event... the eggs there were not as plentiful as the clovers. Some of the more fortunate folk who entered the Towns told me the eggs were less plentiful as the clovers. They told that they were in Towns all day, yet not a single egg showed in all of their wandering. I still have my 3 little chickies I was fortunate enough to find eggs for and let them wander about the yard. They are in their own way quite cute. I've named them Larry, Moe, and Curly.
One thing I forgot to mention in earlier logs: each month there are special "letters" given to certain Gaians. These letters, when opened, often hold 2 or 3 very special items, which are not sold in the "regular" shops and are often very expensive in the marketplace. You can't get all of the items being offered, you simply choose which of the items available you wish to keep. I awoke in the month of January, but it's not until recently that I've been able to obtain some of these letters for myself.
January's held two items, but I chose Gift of the Goddess. For February there were 3 items, but I only liked the Celestial Wrap. For March I loved both the items offered and so got 1 each of Mythic Hair and Spirit Falcon. And finally this month's was a marvel! There were again 3 choices to make, and of them all I chose the special Oculus Magica to make my eyes different colours at will, and, best of all, the Aquatica! I now have the beautiful tail I had on my former world... though this one is blue instead of the intense green I remember... yes! I can remember... bits anyways... I hope more come out instead of fading as it has been lately.
As a side note... I've actually started my own Quest.
And finally... a thought for the day: I'm wondering what the end of the month will hold for me here on this little Chibi planet as this is the day I hatched... the 30th of April. Though I know (somehow) I've never had a party in my life, so will not be disappointed if this day comes and goes without anything happening.
