Far Away
The moon was bright and beautiful, illuminating the surroundings with it's ethereal glow. The stillness of the night and the wind gently blowing made this night so serene and peaceful. A figure was walking down a path all to familiar to him. Every single step brings back memories, memories he would never forget. It's been too long since the last time he made his way to the oh so familiar path.
This time, this place.
Misused, mistakes.
Too long, too late.
Who was I to make you wait?
The party had ended just an hour ago and he decided to take a walk despite the lateness of the hour. The party had been for him. It's a surprise welcome back party for him organized by his family and friends. He was really surprised when he entered his old home to find the people he once left behind standing in front of him welcoming him back with arms wide open and a smile.
Just one chance, just one breath.
Just in case there's just one left.

The feeling that coursed through him was overwhelming that tears of happiness form in the corners of his eyes but he didn't shed them, the tears just stayed there and before any of it escaped a hand wiped them away. The party started and all is going well, talking to people he knew and catching up with news, but there's something missing. He look at the crowd looking for a face that he'd been wanting to see for so many years, but he couldn't find it. A friend noticed him and he knew who the young man was looking for.

"Skye, are you looking for her?" The young man named Skye just nodded his head still looking at the crowd.
"She's not here. She said she can't come because she had other matters to attend to but she said she'll make it up to you once she's not busy."
Skye just nodded his head but a frown was settled on his face. The party had been merry but for some reason Skye still felt empty, maybe because the one person he'd been looking forward to see is not there. The party had ended nicely and Skye led the guest to the front door and after a few 'Welcome Back!' they left. Skye just remained standing at the door as the last guest disappear at his sight. He looked up to see the full moon and decided to go to a walk. Walking to a path he knew very well by heart.

As he came nearer to the park he saw a figure sitting on the swing that is tied to a tree. He can't tell who it was for the shadows cover the face of the person but he can tell that this person was a woman. He made his way to the woman and his eyes widened when he saw who it was. The woman looked up at him and gave him a smile.
"Hello Skye. It's nice to see you again. How are you?"

Skye can't believe it. The girl-no he's not a girl anymore, he reminded himself. The woman he was looking for at the party is now sitting in a swing in front of him. Skye stared hard at the face in front of him, not believing that this was the girl from his memories who made his heart flutter everytime he saw her, made him feel butterflies in his stomach everytime she smile at him.
"Crystal..."

Skye reach out his hand to touch her. Crystal was startled at first but when she felt his hand on his cheek she gave a sigh and lean on his hand savoring the warmth of it. She couldn't help it, the tears started to form and unlike Skye, she let them go. She let her tears slide down her cheeks. Tears of happiness seeing the man she love and will always love even after 4 years of being apart.
"It's been so long. I missed you..." she murmured.

Skye wiped her tears with his thumb and hoisted her up so she could stand. Once she's on her feet he encircled his arms around her, embracing her, holding her tight as if he doesn't want to let go. He could feel her arms encircling his body and embracing him back. He buried his face at the crook of her neck inhaling her scent. The scent he was addicted to.
"yeah...it has been...I missed you too...so much" he mumbled.

He pulled back to look at her beautiful face. To him, she was the most beautiful woman he'd ever laid eyes on. Dark long hair, dark eyes, long lashes adorning her eyes, smooth skin, and a beautiful smile. Yes, for him, she's an angel. An angel sent for him and for him only. He wanted to say those words and he knows that she also wanted to hear those words so he's going to say it. Now or never.
"I love you..."
Crystal's eyes widened hearing those words and after a moment she smiled at him. Staring up at him lovingly, she said,
"I love you too..."
and with that, they sealed their love with a kiss. A kiss full of passion, longing and also full of love for each other. They said it all in that kiss, even a silent promise that they will love each other forever.
