If I were asked to choose between current Gaia's new items and being naked, I'd strip off right in front of the b*****d.
Seriously, has anyone noticed how every new item these days is no more then 100g and is either a super trashy or some lame gimmick item like tentacles or a giant eyeball? Sure, some people have made pretty cool avatars with those emote masks, and the Tetris blocks look sweet on shelves in homes in Towns(but they're pretty old now anyway, so they don't even count) but they're seriously not good enough.
So what, we get a cheap laugh over a couple of stupid tentacle rape avatars in the arena and then forget about them? Or that they're really cheap and ugly and never get used in a properly matched avatar unless the matcher is super pro and is able to use Baby s**t Green and Washed Out/Washed Up Yellow as the two main colours.
So where does that leave us? Better then noobs who dress in Flame Pants and use either a Final Fantasy character or anime character in their user name, and better then the only-just-competent users who seem to be somewhat colour blind, but worse then the God-like avatar makers who match un-Godly colours to make Godly avatars. Us, who can make a kick a** avi with red, black, purple, white, blue, green, brown, and some times orange and yellow (if they're lucky enough to use the few yellow or orange items in a way that goes well with the rest of the avi), that need decent colours on regular areas of clothing like jackets and jeans, and who are willing to spend 4k for it. See? You don't see the shitty new colours in the font colour selector thing, because they're awful and no self-respecting Gaian would even display their thoughts in them by changing their font to them, let alone their avi by forcing their little Gaian bodies into them.
Around when I first joined Gaia the Split Blackpearl set had been released, it's a sweet suit and the jacket alone will set you back nearly 10k, which is awesome. It actually looks good, so if it went with an avatar I was cooking up, I would be willing to buy it. Sacrificing style and good taste for a low price it a horrible idea. Horrible. Because people who are willing to buy that s**t shouldn't be allowed near stores or the market place in the first place. That reminds me of how annoying it is when noobs use the arena and think it's alright to sell store items they bought on impulse like idiots for twice the price that they're worth new. What the ******** is wrong with you, IF THEY AREN'T WORTH THAT MUCH NEW, THEN NO ONE WILL PAY MORE FOR THEM AFTER YOU'VE HAD YOUR DIRTY CYBERING NOOB a** IN THEM, WILL THEY JACKASS? I wish they'd put up the battle system already so that I could punch some noob-throat.
What? Oh right, the new clothes. Lanzer and his team need to get their s**t together and start thinking about who really matter on Gaia, and make us some items that are actually usable in a public setting. Even if they aren't super awesome, just some half decent jacket or gloves in purple or orange or whatever would be fine. But I still don't recommend that they start giving into various petitions, only getting a few possible ideas from them at the most. Their s**t is annoying, and letting one in will only open the flood gates for an overwhelming flood of stupid video game rip offs and sex toy avatar items to drown us in an ocean of our own stupidity. And I think everyone can agree on that happening would suck major a**.
