• Merry X-mass

The halls are decked with holly,
    There are voices all around,
    All the music's playing,
    Such a beautiful sound.
Winter time with its bright snow,
    Warm with hot Cocoa,
    All so pleasant
    Hush now children
    Here is your present.

    I can see my breath,
Because the air is all so cold!
Out to find a Christmas tree,
To make all bright and shiny,
    So everyone can see...
    The night seems to linger,
    The clock hands won't move.
    The children all anxious,
    For those special hooves.

    Now the house is silent,
    The cookies in plain sight.
The children’s heads are ringing with their sugar plum delight.
Waiting for dawn to come to race across the house.
"Mother father. Get up and come out!"
Their squeals of joy and glee,
    Fill the tiny space.
As they tear at paper that took so much time to place.

The mornings ended now here comes the lunch.
    The family is here
All the kids talk until hushed.
The turkey, corn, and potatoes are passed all around.
    There are "mmmm"s and "Yum"s
As the forks dive in and out.
When the food is over, gone, and done.
Every one compliments the cook with one big yum!

Everybody leaves after a light dinner.
No even any children ask for the desert.
The girls and boys all sit down and play with their new toys.
Video games, Barbies, cars, and more.
Soon everyone’s yawning with full bellies.
Off to bed the children are sent.
    With many goodnights lent.
    The lights are out
    There’s not a sound.
    Not even a mouse.
    Goodbye Christmas…Until next year.
    Oh joy, another full house.
