• As I gaze upon my mirror
I saw that something began to shimmer
    Alas! I said
    Winter has come
    For the little white snowflakes
    Reflected the setting sun

As I neared the frosted glass
I heard something that made me grin
In the distance, quite far away
A pleasant noise made me sway
    Bells were ringing
    And children were singing
    Their sounds and laughter
    Made me feel warmer

Soon the carols were finally over
I stared at window to find something with color
All I see is white and brown
I began to yawn and fuss and slither

    I now sit
    And watch
    For something interesting to happen
Boredom was coming all too sudden

But then, something caught my eye
Very visible on the white surface
    A fawn I see!
    Oh me! Oh my!

    It shivers
    It falls
I must go out for it to survive
    And then I remembered
Not interfere with animals in the winter
    It soon got up
    Grief has finally filled me
I looked around to see what will pass me

It soon went dark way too fast
    I looked up the horizon
Asking for the evening to last

Yet I knew there was a tomorrow
But that can't keep me away from deep sorrow
Every day will be different from the other
Even if I can disobey my mother
I know that I'll just get thrown in the gutter

And so, this is where my day has ended
I hope that you too have enjoyed it
Now shut up and let me sleep
I can't wait what else there is to seek
