• Lights flickered in every direction and colour,
shone brightly to fill the black sky with spirit.
Merry laughs joined the swishing air,
stories carried upon the wind to another land.
I took my time wandering back to my home,
eyes lingering on every breathtaking sight.
Shivers rang throughout my body, jacket tucked tight,
white sprinkles fell onto the before barren ground.
Hands outreached to meet the frozen beauty,
    each unique in its own.
    Brilliantly white, tiny yet simple.
The moon turned to smile at me,
its own gift from the sky.
    A white Christmas to come,
    One to last.
