White as a clear night moon,
A blanket covering the land,
Falling gently with time,
Much like the petals of a flower,
Crunching under feet,
Gliding across the land,
Footprints,
Clear as a window,
A diamond of ice,
Laying still,
Till a time when wind disturbs it,
A snowy wonderland.
Resting with a loved one,
Curled up under blankets near a fire,
Drinking Hot Coco and telling stories,
A happy feeling floats in the air,
Twinkling lights,
In brilliant shades of the rainbow,
On branches of green,
Colorful decorations throughout the surroundings,
Time passing quickly but slowly,
The warmth of home.
On a hilltop,
Children laughing and playing,
Brightly colored sleds in hand,
Zipping quickly down the slick hillside,
Snow people sit,
Watching unblinkingly,
An ice-skaters audience,
Twirling with grace,
In a world all their own,
The careless free spirit of December.
