The braided golden silk
that hung gently by her shoulders,
light blue mirrors
that reflected only joy,
her slender body
wrapped in only beautiful clothes.
A face that needs no makeup
to be sinfully beautiful.
She is everything you want in her.
She will never tell you no.
She doesn't ask for anything
but your eternal love.
Her long hair flows gently
while you listen to her play.
Her delicate fingers
running over piano keys.
You asked to listen to her music.
She can never tell you no.
She will do everything you ask of her.
She is yours and yours alone.
And in the morning,
the sun comes in
and you open your eyes.
You begin the day again,
and she is gone.

- Title: His Dream
- Artist: fasterlearner
-
Description:
The poem describes "the perfect woman" who is completely in love with the audience. However, the last stanza reveals that the woman can only be a dream instead of reality.
The poem was written originally as a response to all the love stories depicted in popular songs and the idea of a "perfect woman" that many men seem to hold. It is also a response to women who think they need to be beautiful or obediant in order to be loved. - Date: 12/12/2008

- This is a poem that hits many notes of a societal chord. It is well worded and gets the point across in a nice way. Brava
