On a cool crisp Winter's Day,
My flower was taken away.
The frost had come,
And froze the stem,
Clouds hid the sun,
And I blame them.
On a cool crisp Winter's Day,
My flower was taken away.
The petals were frozen; crystaline,
As the sun, did no more shine.
And in my house,
So bright and warm,
Dressed in my blouse,
Made of old red yarn,
I looked out at my flower,
Left out in the cold,
Where it's bud did lower,
And looked so old.
On a cool crisp Winter's Day,
My flower was stolen away.
