Compassion is the heart of the season
The blood in Christmas's veins
The generosity of mercy
Showing clear and plain
This is the anniversary
Of the day God was reborn
As a Nazarethan baby
Lowly and forlorn
In tides of green and red
Still we celebrate today
The miracle that happened
On that first Christmas day
Some call it too commercial
Some call it all a lie
Even some believers
Forget to thank the one who died
Born with the destiny
Of saving man from sin
This is the point of Christmas
May you spend the day with Him

Description:
I warn you now--this is a Christian poem...mainly because Christmas is Christ's birthday...if this were an Easter poem, it would also be about Jesus. If this were Ramadan, I'm sure there would be some Muslim poems...
Please don't religion bash.
Have a great Christmas = ) - Date: 12/12/2008
