    a holiday we hold oh so dear
    its purpose it seems is lost,gone away
    We have forgotten what , what is today?
    Today is a day to laugh and cheer
    not just getting presents,and presenting a sneer
    A child so selfish, cold to the bone
    only wants presents and to be alone
    No one together, its meaning gone away
    Still no one will know what it means today
    Not a person will tell for no one to hear
    on a day filled with greed and a sneer
