Still We Wait
A sparkle in the sky,
And the first to wish upon it.
In our sick beds we lie,
A disease with no cure for it.
Though there's many sunny days,
We wonder when we'll be free.
To go outside and play,
Like normal children you see.
We know our end is near,
Just as the setting sun.
This is our greatest fear,
That we never had much fun.
We all lay awake deep into the night,
Whispering about the stars so bright.
