These sparkling lights and glistening trees
Across deserts and mountains and billowing seas
Give silent a calling to man of the hour.
Nine reindeer run swiftly with magical power.
Whose voice echoes softly with utter delight
As he faces the winds on this cold winter night?
Why Santa, of course, with his bag full of toys
To give to those sleeping young girls and young boys.
He rides quickly the winds from the North Pole
To fill stockings with candy, gifts, or coal.
He eats numbers of cookies he has dipped in milk
And replaces them fully with clothes made of silk.
Through glittering dreams and cozy warm beds
Runs a jittery excitement in everyone's heads.
Dreams full of sugar plums, white snow, and bright lights
Entwines with the sleighs that are just out of their sights.
As he lands on the roof with his bag in his hand
He takes in the stunning white Christmasy land.
Sliding down the brick chimney with an Oof! and a squeeze
He places the gifts under the tree with ease.
When finished he climbs back up, and back out.
His sleigh-ride illuminated by one glowing red snout.
He rides on with the moon as his light
All the while bellowing "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"
