• The fire warms us
    as this night is cold
    With a tree glistening
    like diamonds in northern lights
We wait for Someone to appear
a large sweet man who leave us gifts
and plan out the greetings he'd have
our eyes slowly drift image into blurr
    then our dreams appear
    my vivid mind projects
    the excitment soon to unfold
    as we all frenzy
for the beautiful presents laid under the tree
and in my first gift i find a treasure
a intricate necklace of diamonds and rubies.
As the dream fades we all awaken
    with Bewilderment and suprise
As our nightly visitor has come!
the stockings full and gifts well wrapped
    Encourage us to smile
Again i open the gift from my dream
    with an even greater sight
    our visitor had given me
    A photo with the family
    to cherris forever
Just as beautiful as the necklace
    but with a deeper closeness
    This mere portrait has
like a memory held still i cherrish it
    more than gold itself
