Hey everyone. This is my poem written for the Holiday contest. Sorry for the lack of unique title, but please enjoy! heart
Snowflakes kiss frigid bites upon my nose,
Thinking about the warm fire's glow
And the taste of hot chocolate sweet
With someone close curled up next to me.
I get home and open the door,
Greeted by loving smiles I adore.
A "welcome home dear" and a toasty mug.
The affectionate gestures give a tug
To my heartstrings, and I'm glad the holidays are here,
And that my family is near.
A hug and kiss from mom and dad,
Presents under the tree in boxes and bags.
Love tucked away in every square inch,
Christmas is here full of joy and bright things
It happens as crystal voices sing
joy to the Lord, praise to the king.

The first line was a good catcher, but I absaloutly hate when poets use the wrong capitilization. Please capitilize every new sentence NOT every new line! Alright now let's talk about detail, there's not enough!
"Thinking about the warm fire's glow ,and the taste of hot chocolate sweet ,with someone close curled up next to me"
Alright well you can describe the fire a bit more, show some color, some warmth insted of just saying it's warm. Next describe who is the person curled up next to you - Report As Spam
