Head of the Kasumiōji clan her life was in danger without her noticing it until later on in the story, so for her safety she and her two bodyguards, Kenryū and Enryū left the Soul Society to hide on earth. While there she met Ichigo and his friends and without warring got caught up on a plot that would change not their life but the Soul Society as well.
