• It was a cold winter morning in the Mushroom Kingdom, and snow blanketed the crisp, green grass. It was a day that two very lucky people had waited for for a long time. The day had taken a lot of planning, and a lot of patience. Finally, it had arrived.

A skinny Italian man was fixing his long, thick moustache when a taller, lean man walked into his room. “Mario, are you ready?” the tall man said in a thick Italian accent.

Mario turned to the taller man. “Yes, but is Peach?” he replied in a just as thick Italian accent. He sighed deeply. “Luigi, I’m glad you’re here.”

Luigi smiled serenely at his brother. “I’m always there for you, Mario. And I’m quite sure Peach is ready too!” The two heard music coming from the church. Luigi turned to his brother. “Ready?” Mario simply nodded and walked in front of his brother.

As Mario walked down the aisle, stepping in time with the music, he looked around at who had come. In the many pews of the church, he saw many familiar and unfamiliar faces. Amongst them he saw Daisy, Peach’s sister, and Peach’s parents. He also saw the one person he’d least expect to see: Wario.

Mario reached the minister, and all eyes turned to the front of the aisle. A beautiful blonde woman in a silky wedding gown walked down the aisle, blushing visibly through her thin veil. Finally she arrived beside Mario, blushing even more vividly and profusely.

“Do you, Mario, take Peach to be your lawfully wedded wife? Do you promise to cherish her, to care for her, in sickness and in health, for rich or for poorer, ‘till death do you part?” the minister asked, moving his head toward Mario.

“I do,” Mario said, smiling at Peach. Peach returned the smile.

The minister turned to Peach and repeated his whole speech. “Do you, Peach, take Mario to be your lawfully wedded husband? Do you promise to cherish him, to care for him, in sickness and in health, for rich or for poorer, ‘till death do you part?”

Peach took a deep breath , preparing for the kiss that would follow. “I do.”

“You may now kiss your bride.” With that, Mario swept Peach into a romantic kiss, his moustache tickling her upper lip.

“I give you,” the minister began, gesturing to Mario and Peach, “Mr. and Mrs. Mario Mario!” With that, Mario picked Peach up and carried her back down the aisle, the people attending the ceremony watching them. Cheers erupted from the audience as the newlyweds walked out of the church and onto their new life.
