• After suffering from loneliness for many eons, the Universe's will commissioned four great beings from another universe to build him a place where life could flourish. The Universe was new to existence and was too afraid to begin the process of creation on its own and risk an embarrassing failure. The four beings that it contracted however had created several successful worlds together as well as separately. The four beings had developed their trade into an art not a perfect art, but one that is natural and exact. These beings, though they are immortal reincarnated into each world that they created so that they could witness the quality of their work firsthand often playing on important but subtle roles. This time however, they were asked to monitor and maintain their creations.

They followed a blueprint that had already been successful in many Universes and was guaranteed to work for this one as well. These beings were the wisest of all souls for they alone had the knowledge to understand that all things must occur in the pattern of threes. Deep within the Universe they saw that one world alone would become arrogant or, like the Universe, fear intentional development lest it result in failure. On the other hand, two worlds would compete with each other for supremacy. The four also understood that a race alone in the Universe would turn on itself and kill its own; this was as offensive to the immortals as killing ones own blood. With three races sharing the galaxy, one race would always be able to mediate a disagreement and if any race fell into the wrong, they would have to face two races instead of one.

Three of the beings were always given the task of creating the worlds while the fourth would create a sun that would warm all three of the worlds. The oldest of the four was Heumanya and she was as neutral as the gray. In contrast, Demonos and Angelo often took opposite sides and warred endlessly with each other; they were the very essences of good and evil. The fourth one, and the youngest, was Fearyalane Del'Pix. Like Heumanya, she was neutral, but not always, and was the essence of all that could not be explained; magic and ritual. Heumanya, as the only one who could remain unerringly neutral, would create a sun that would warm the worlds equally. The younger three however would spend an amount of time comparable to a mortal's eons constructing three worlds that would co-exist peacefully.

As the youngest, Fearyalane still had hopes that all would one day be perfect and filled her world with creatures that were born directly from her soul and were just as much of an enchantment as she was. Fanciful mixes between various normal looking animals were given an instinctual magic that would protect them from any incursions. Although Fearyalane was known for switching from Angelo's perspective to Demonos' side and then back to Angelo, she could always be relied on to protect her creations and their homes no matter what the cost. Many a war ended at Fearyalane's hands when the males let their war cross into one of her worlds. When this happens, the youngest of the great ones becomes the most fearsome and Demonos and Angelo, those great warriors, cower in the first forgotten universe they can find. Though she is fickle, she always finishes what she starts and never forgets even one of her "children"; she never could remember what a world would need to last longer than a few eons. Despite the lack of longevity in the future of her world, Fearyalane created a humanoid race that had the potential to out live their world. Though "humanoid" these people possessed the wings of an insect and glass like eyes as well. Like the other creatures in her world, this species was made from the essence of their mother and could manipulate the patterns of their innate element. Her world only had mountains where they would complement the scenery or make the perfect habitat for one of her creations and trees grew in the most awkward locations but always looked beautiful. Fearyalane's world, which she named Pheyra, was beautiful and magical if unconventional.

Similar to Pheyra, Kronos was a world of immense brightness however, unlike Pheyra; it was a world of order and regulations. Kronos was devoid of anything resembling chaos or disorder. Angelo was quite fond of creating the sky of a world but did not care for too much land in his world. The only solid and unmoving land masses were the islands sprinkled across the ocean. On these islands were rough cliffs that harbored a variety of avian species that preyed on the water dwellers that made most of the animal population. However, Angelo's favorite creations were the avian-like humanoids that lived high up in hundreds of sky cities. These cities were not only located in the sky, they were also able to move to a different location to avoid any attacks from the armies of Demonos. Like the avian creatures that they were modeled after, the inhabitants of these cities possessed feathered wings of immense wing span. To his favorite creatures Angelo gave divine right and an unerring judgment so that they could deal with injustice no matter what wrong was committed. They were ridiculously strict about their laws and a code of honor that was built into the entire race. Kronos was the ideal paradise for anyone, anyone but Demonos that is.

The essence of true evil was embodied in Demonos and for this reason the Universe was somewhat hesitant to commission the entire four to create intelligent life with his being. However, his wariness of the essence of evil within his domain did not fare well against his fear of angering the being by excluding him. Demonos himself was not the worst evil to exist for the essence of "true" evil must follow a code of honor just like the races created by Angelo; it's just more flexible than Angelo's. Unlike Angelo and Fearyalane, Demonos preferred a darker setting and constructed his world further away from the sun that Heumanya was creating so that his constructs could live comfortably. He created additional protection from the rays of the sun by forcing the land up into tall, jagged peaks. Many of his constructs would dwell in tunnels deep within the center of the mountain ranges. These tunnels were more like dark cathedrals that led to even deeper caverns where a race similar to the pet races of Angelo and Fearyalane. This race was had the wings of a bat and was capable of disappearing into the shadows. They were the perfect opposites of Angelo's pets.

The three worlds spent many thousands of years developing their resources and strengths so that they can "protect" themselves from any incursion. Finally, after many eons, the four beings decided that the Universe was complete and that it was time to test its quality. However, after they reincarnated, they discovered that there was a flaw in their plans that the younger three had not thought of. The worlds were supposed to co exist with each other but the creators had been so occupied with ways to protect their creations that they closed the connections that Heumanya had made between them. Without the connections between the worlds, the races on each would not know about each other and would turn on themselves if there was no one else to fight.

The younger three were in a panic as this one flaw could ruin their entire creation, something that had never happened before. Only Heumanya could salvage the situation and save their creations. Heumanya however, was hesitant to interfere with the worlds for she could only fix one world at a time but she had to start somewhere. The problem was that the one who had created the world she would start with would assume that she was taking their side while the other two would become angry that they weren't first. The only solution was to do something she had never done before; she would create a fourth world and extend the threadlike connections to the other three from hers. She did not tell the other three what she was doing for she knew they would think that she was shirking her duties. And so she began to create a world that would have the essences of all three of the other worlds.

The continents she created were connected together at first but she knew that time and the movement of her world would slowly separate them. Like Angelo's world, hers was mostly water. However, the land masses did take up at least a third of planet's surface. Like Fearyalane's, Heumanya's world was quite green, but only for a certain period of time before the green rusted and fell to the earth. And then the white, white snow came and all but the largest bodies of water froze over. Her world went in cycles as it rotated around her sun and the world itself was given a personality that would give it some control over its existence. Before the land could set itself on a path that would not support intelligent life, Heumanya pulled at the earth in a gentler manner than that of Demonos to create mountains and hills that were climbable should the occasion call for it.

After she finished creating the setting, Heumanya molded creatures from the universe's essence and gave them life, rather than create them from her own essence, so that the occasional abnormal does not get pulled into one of her previous projects. She created perfectly normal looking creatures that she supplemented with creatures that were more magical than the ones that dwelled in Fearyalane's world and gave them all a knack for evasion so that they could survive the influence of her next creation; man.

Man, she also molded from the essence of the universe but she also included her own and something else that no one could sabotage. Heumanya borrowed some of Fearyalane's essence and embedded it within the world so man could learn to harness it to develop their culture. From Angelo's and Demonos' essence, she gave to man good and evil as well as a sense of right and wrong. Man was constructed to the basic designs of the other favored races, intelligent bipeds. Man however, would not start with the knowledge of how he came to be. If she was going to allow them to develop their own cultures she would allow them to develop their own theologies as well. Heumanya began man's reign in a pool as another creature entirely. It took longer than she had expected to create a form of life that would allow for development in whatever field of study became dominant in her world but she did discover a spiral like model that would suffice. When creating the soul, rather than give one to each being, she split one in half and place a half in one being and the other in a different being. Every male and female would be able to find his or her soul mate and would be born with the knowledge, or at least the feeling, that there was another who understood their unspoken emotions. This would provide some access to a happy life for her children. Heumanya was now satisfied with her work and, after setting the world in motion around the sun, moved away to where the younger three were.

Finally, life was on track and as the four beings watched it develop they were pleased with the changes. That is, they were pleased until they discovered an additional ingredient within the molds of the men, free will. This gift from Heumanya was not only embedded within the souls of the men but within the connection from her world to theirs. All of their creations were deviating from the paths that they had been set on and Chaos ruled all four worlds. Demonos was elated that the Universe was experiencing chaos while Angelo was livid that his creations were making the simplest of mistakes and sometimes even forgetting his gift of divine right. Fearyalane, in this case, was unconcerned with the effects that Heumanya's actions were having on her world. All she cared about was that they didn't harm her children. In a last effort to appease Angelo, the four decided to reincarnate into their worlds to test its quality. However, when their essences joined that of their worlds, they collapsed on the world of man. The only thing that kept things together was the connections that Heumanya made. Unfortunately, the worlds that the younger three created faded until they could only exist parallel to the world of man. Before the four beings could begin again though, the Universe expressed its pleasure in their work. And so the world of man developed on its own, warring on itself and wondering at the occasional visits from the other three worlds. The universe was pleased, the worlds were "co-existing", and three of the beings were satisfied; Angelo was "appeased". The four moved on to create new worlds while the inhabitants of Heumanya's world called themselves humans, the constructs of the dark world named their race the race of Demons, Fearyalane's children dubbed themselves fairies, and Angelo's avians stylized themselves as Angels. And the world began to turn.
