Prologue
If I weren't there to ctach you, you'd fall and never come back, if I weren't there to love you, you would never love at all. While the dawn of peace is near, the dawn of despair is closer, I'm sorry I have to leave you, but it must be done, for our home, our country, our kingdom....
The girl read and read the letter, tears smearing the words of her lover's goodbye. It was poetic, which brought a smile to her tear stained face, but the goodbye made her tear ducts work overtime. Her hands smeared the worlds further, rubbing the crystal vanity on which she read it. The Crystal vanity, the royal families' heirloom, casted down to every princess.
The crystals smoothed the paper, but she could still feel dents of his pen. He wrote it in a hurry, as the words lay jumbled, barely ledgible, but she could read it, he was her knight afterall.
This Girl, Princess Layla of the Crystalia kingdom, was a goddess to peasents, but now, with her love losted, everything could change...
Chapter 1- Dawn of the moon
He sat on the bank of the ice river, skipping rocks on the crystalline surface, his eyebrows crossed and wrinkles in his forehead as he thought. Were they 'Why'd I break her heart?' or 'She would never forgive me...'. He was clad in Crystalian armor, crafted from crystal fused with the souls of past warriors, who were believed the help the solider in combat. It was clear, so his peasent tunic and musty brown hair could be seen, along with his eyes of gold, now piercing in his armor.
The image of the princess lay fresh in his mind, from their kiss, to caring for her, and guarding her with his life, hoping the life part wasn't true. Was it?
