• Florida never, ever, excited me. Never. I lived there since I was four. So when I turned 16 and my family moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, you could expect I was excited to get out of the hell hole where the humidity level is higher than the sea level. Miraculously, my best friend Dev and her parents wanted to move there too. We thought it was so cool that we were moving to the same place at the same time.

Me and Dev took my beat up convertible all the way up while our parents drove rental trucks, hauling all the s**t we packed. The first day of school anywhere is nerve wracking, but Dev and I ended up in most of the same classes except for Spanish, since I had honors and she took sign language, and math, once again I had honors. That's where we met our best friend Autumn. Everyone called us triple trouble, since basically, we were!

Then Sonny and Matt came along. Sonny's gay for your info. Actually, if I remember correctly, him and Matt were dating at the time. Matt's Bi, not totally gay. Well, their flick only last a few weeks, then they decided to just be buds....and they joined the triple trouble. Now, we were the awesome five!, cuz thats just how cool we were!

Around the end of our senior year, Matt had this brilliant idea that we start a band. And not just any band, a cover band. Dev picked up her guitar that had been collecting dust since we were thirteen. Autumn bought a rhythm guitar, cuz it had her initials on it originally. Matt got his bass out from the back of his very long, hoodie-filled closet and practiced. Sonny was a drumming champ at this point, don't ask me how. That left me. OK, I am so musically impaired, I was stuck with lead singer.

All through my life, I had loved singing, so I gladly took that job! We started printing tabs for the instruments from bands like Paramore, Avenged Sevenfold, The Academy Is...., and Fall Out Boy. Thus came out the Click Comebacks. We always tried to get hold of record labels, but none were looking for a 'cover band'. That is, until Sonny had a bright idea.

Sonny hooked up a tape recorder at one of our practices along with a camera right in front of me. We started playing for both devices. Then I took it all home, transferred the music to a CD and the video to a DVD, then sent it to Decaydance records. You read right, Pete Wentz's record label.

Three weeks ago, right after my 20th birthday, Pete responded. He called me personally. Odd, I thought, why would Pete Wentz of all people call me? He told me he was coming to Milwaukee with Andy in a few weeks anyway. Said he'd stop by for a listen. Maybe even a new band on the label. When I told everyone, they almost killed me in that dog pile, crazy bitches.

So, here I am, waiting for Pete Wentz and Andy Hurley, two of my biggest idols, to arrive at my house for a possible record deal.
