• Prologue:

I walked up to the edge, the place where I had found myself in so many nightmares, this nightmare the worst. I stood, my hands clasped over my heart, waiting. I heard it, footsteps trailing through the light snow covered ground, and I waited. A gentle breeze through my hair, soft lips on my neck. I clenched my eyes tightly. “Did you fulfill what I asked of you, “the voice heavy on my neck. I nodded, daring not to open my mouth. I waited and felt the pressure leave my neck. I tensed as nails went into my shoulder, “Your lies through the air, “it said angrily. I bit my lip in pain as the nails sunk deeper into my shoulder. The pain stopped and I dared not to turn around to find out why.

    The Beginning.

A gentle squeeze and a soft kiss on the cheek, I stood, hands clasped over my eyes. I couldn't look, I don't want to see. Arms hugged me from behind, soft whispers filled my ears. No, I don't want to look, I'll just remember. Nudges, I was closer. I could feel the wood jabbing into my side; I squeezed my eyes shut and let my hands drop to my sides. I tried to push myself away, but a hand found mine, a soft delicate hand. My heart jumped and my mind race, I turned to the hand, I clasped it with another. I pleaded with god, and opened my eyes. A woman in a black dress with a veil, the face not recognizable. A nudge and a push, I stood over her. My eyes got wide, face full of horror, I screamed and ran from the room.
