• A cold shiver trembled down my spinal cord and I burrowed deeper into the deep recesses of my quilt. The only thing left visable was the untidy bun of my blond hair sticking out from underneath the covers. It was mid December and I was still recovering from the loss of my closest pal. Anasta was a red haired beauty who was my best friend.........or at least used to be. Recently she had disappeared one night and I had never seen her again. I missed her perky smile and usually flushed cheeks and I still cryed in my sleep as I imagined the red gown she had worn to the prom that night disappearing into a dark and towering forest.

A silver salty tear painted its way down the pale smooth skin of my cheek. As it passed my jawline a full on sob shook my sides painfully and I slipped into an uncomfortable disturbed sleep......

I yawned as I awoke then I rubbed my eye with on bony index finger and sat up. To my astonishment I was no longer in my room nestled under the blankets. I was now staring at a small clearing that surrounded me. Young spruces circled the small field. They bent in respect to the glorious and majestic landmark. I stood up in confusion and realized I wasn't wering my tank top and sweats any more. My feet were bare, the cool blades of dried grass tickled the edges of my heel. I was dressed in a red gown, a familiar red gown that didn't belong to me. I traced the patern of the sequins and remebered the last time I had seen them, running with there owner away from me. A cricket chirped next to my foot and I stooped my head to glare at it. As my skull slanted a circlet of flowers fell from my forehead. When I scooped it back up and placed it fimly on my head I felt my straight locks. The top of my head was smooth, not a single hair daring to spring from its place. I traced the rest of my tresses down my neck and over my shoulder, it seemed to be longer than I remebered. As I looked at the neatly caressed end of the long whip like braid I noticed the dark auburn color to it.

I gasped in shock as I realized who's body I was in. I flashed my eyes in every direction, searching for my own body and a way back to it. A gentle breeze stirred my magenta dress and I looked up to see if the sky held any answers. The answer I recieved was not a pleasent one. The moon had turned rose and it began to rain.......blood. A piercing scream hurtled from my lips but the sound was consumed by the scorching flames that now surrounded the field. I attempted to run but I was trapped and I dropped to my knees in defeat as the merciless fire enclosed my helpless being.
