• A fifteen year old girl sits up on the roof of her home, with her knees up to her chest. The two suns just starting to come up from the horizon and she watched all the beautiful colors swirl together. The suns shined on the large city, glimering off of droplets still on the roofs from the rain. The houses are so close together that if you wanted to get to the other side you could just walk on the roofs; and that is what many people did. Every building had an opening for people to get in and out on the roof. The girl was sitting next to the open passageway and heard her aunt calling for her.
    "Margaret!Wake up!"
    "I've been up!" she replied
"Then get down here! And wake your cousins as well!"
    "Okay!"
Margaret slowly went down the ladder and walked into her cousins room. She put her hand in front of her eyes because her cousins usually sleep naked, and she doesn't want to see them that way.
"Guy's it's time to wake up okay." said Margaret
"Oh come on.Five more minutes." said one
    "No Richard. Up. Now."
Margaret feels her way out of the room and closes the door. She walks down the hall to the stairs, but stops in front of a picture, of a handsom man and a beautiful woman. "Morning mom,Morning dad." said Margaret with a sad smile on her face
Margaret kissed the picture and walked down the stairs into the kitchen where her aunt was.
"Morning Aunt Lilac." said Margaret getting plates and glasses out to set the table.
    "Morning Margaret" said Aunt Lilac
Aunt Lilac was busy making breakfast, as Margaret was setting the table. Slowly but surly the three boys came into the room, with sleepy faces, and sat down at the table. After Margaret was done pouring the nice cold dragons milk she sat down as well. Aunt Lilac put there breakfast on the plates. Dragon eggs and bacon.
    "Eat up."said Aunt Lilac
Everyone started to eat there breakfast, and as they were their aunt was writing five long lists for each of them. Every Sunday she would always give them a list of things for them to get. The Aunt owns a bakery, and a fabric shop, and many people come to it every day, and also make special deliverys. So she needs alot of supplies.
"Okay after you guys are done I want you all to get these."
She each handed them a list, keeping one for herself.
"Margaret your stuff is by the harbor. Alright?"
"Yeah." she said putting her wavy brown hair behind her ear.
"Okay Richard yours is up town, Mikle, yours is down town, and Brian, you are the opposite side of town, from the harbor."
They all nodded and went back to eating. When Margaret was done she washed her plate and put it in the drainer next to the sink. She took a two Granny apples and walked outside the kitchen into the riding dragon stable. Margaret walked past six of the stables and stopped in front of one that had a bronze nameplate on the door, saying Draco. A teal dragon head came out of the door and went for the apples. But Margaret pulled them away from him.
    "Ah-ah-ahh. Not yet." she said
Draco whined a little and moved his head back into the stable,to allow Margaret to get in.She comes into the stable and closes the door. She hands on of the apples to Draco and he happily took it from her hand. She put the other apple into the pocket of her blue skirt for later.
Margaret opened the door and Draco started to walk out. When he was fully out Margaret brought him to the front of the stable and started to put on the saddle.Sometimes people need help getting the saddle around the girth of a riding dragon. The reason is because there girth is about four to five feet thick. These type of dragons only have tiny wings on there heads so they can't fly,and are mostly used for ground transportation. There tail is five feet long, there body is six feet long, and the neck is about six feet long as well.
    "Your money Margaret!" cried Richard
"Oh thanks." said Margaret aking the bag of gold coins.
"Your welcome . . . need any help getting the wagon on?"
"Yes please that would be nice."
Margaret and Richard wheeled out the wagon and tied it to the saddle, and after that ,Margaret, placed the bag of gold coins into the bag that was attached to the saddle itself.
"Thanks" said Margaret getting onto the saddle
    "Welcome." said Richard
    "Later Rich."
"Later." he said pushing open the stable door
Margaret and Draco started out into the busy streets of the morning. You could see people walking fast torwards there destination, and if you looked up at the strip of sky between the winding buildings, you could see large flying dragons, there scales glistening in the morning sun, carrying young men training as knights for the king, getting used to the feeling of the wind whipping at there faces and the rush of a straight dive at the ground.
"I wonder what it feels like?" Margaret asked herself
She looks back forward leaning to the left so that she could see past Draco's long neck. Other riding dragons were out with there owners and as they past each other they waved. Everyone in this town knew each other, either by meeting each other on the street, or through there friends.
Children play in the street or look into the shop windows, imagining playing with the toys, tasting the freshly baked sweets, or playing with there pet dragons. There are even some venders out in the street selling fresh baked goods for dragons, and humans who have a daring tough. Mostly because almost every dragon loves hot things. But dragons like Draco also like healthy fruits, and veggies.
"Hey Margaret!" she heard a voice
Margaret looked around and saw her old friend Alissa on her purple riding dragon.
    "Hey Liss.What's up!?"asked Margaret
"Nothing much. You heading to the harbor?"
    "Yeah."
"You might see the prince, and his rare Gold Imperial Dragon."
"An Imperial Dragon? The one with five claws?"
    "Yeah!"
"Oh wow.I hope I see it."
"If you do tell me about it.Okay?"
    "Okay.See ya."
    "See ya."
Margaret and Draco make there way torwards the harbor. Margaret smells the salty, and fiahy air, and hears the roar of swimming dragons, with new cargo on the horizon. A whole crowd was over to the right of the harbor, probably for the coming prince. Margaret sighed.
"Man,some of the things I need to get are on that side." she said looking at her aunt's list "Oh well."
She looked out at sea and saw three things flying tords the harbor.
"What the heck are those?" thought Margaret
"There they are!" someone cried in the crowd pointing at the three things.
Margaret squinted and saw that the flying things were three Imperial dragons! Each a diffrent color. The one in the front was gold, and it was being riden by a man. The two behind him were silver and brown. The one riding the brown was another man and the one riding the silver one was a women.
They came flying over head to the castle, and when they did something fell out of the golden dragons saddle pouch, and into Margaret's lap.The crowd ran in a stampede tords them and at the last minute split so they woudn't hit Draco.
Margaret looked around and besides for the men getting off the boat, and stands, the harbor was empty. Well for now. Usually theharbor was always crowded during the afternoon. That's why Margaret went early. Margaret looked in her lap at the thing that dropped. It was a blue-white sphere, about the size of Margaret's fist.
    "What is this?"Margaret wondered
She picked it up with both of her hands and smelled it.It smelled like when a breeze came onto your face, and you could smell the nice saltiness of the ocean. She looked up behind her, the three people still flying tords the castle unaware of there dropped cargo.
She put it into her belt pouch, planing on bringing it to the castle later, after getting her Aunt's things.
"Come on Draco lets get Aunt's supplies." said Margaret
Margaret and Draco went over to the fish area and started on the list her aunt gave her.
    "It's gonna be a long day."whispered Margaret
