    It was a sunny and bright day i looked outside watching all the kids playing. I was inside cleaning the floor. My name is Maria Santos and im 14 years old living withmy mom. Since my dad left my mom thinks its my fault, thats why she is treating me this way. I remember when my mom loved me, but i was 10 years old. my dad left when i was 13 years old. Iv'e been doing all the hard work ever since.

    Starvation Begins
    This day was the worst day of my life my mom made me sleep outside chained to the tree. I had no food that day. the most food i would get was the left overs in the garbage. My dad tries to steal food from the fridge. He always got caught and i hade to deal with the consequenses. I tried to steal food from the schools cafeteria. Then i got home and my mom shoved her fingers down my throat to make me vomit whatever i ate at school.

    Abuse Gets Worse
    When i got caught stealin food from the cafeteria they called my mom and told her she made me eat soap when we got home. Iwasnt allowed to study or do homework and when i tried my brothers will tell on my and my mom would make me put my hand in the stove and get it burned. One day she jabbed a fork in my stomach. Then she helped me up and told i got 30 minutes to do the dishes and put away on the top shelf. It hurt top reach so my dad came and helped me do it. My mom got so mad that she forbided my dad to come to this huse again.

    A good day
    This day was the greates day of my life. My parents went to court to see who get the children, and my dad told the judge what happend. My dad won the custody battle and my mom was sentenced to jail for 10 years. The sad part is that she'll be back and try to get us back but im glad my dad will protect us.
