• I saw when the parasite slammed into the side of the ship flipped the vehicle. Both of the marines were thrown free. I scrambled out of the ship and looked up in time to see the parasite drop down from the tower above, absorb the shock with its massive knees and move forward.

    Both marines, a private and a corporal were back of their feet by then, newbies that never seen this parasitic life form before, much less gone head-to-head.

    I yelled to them “No! Fall back!” and got out my gunblade. Even as I barked the order to fall back. I just knew that knew that there simply wasn’t time Another Arsenal might have able to dodge in time, but the marines didn’t have a prayer. The distance between the parasite and the two marines had closed by then and they couldn’t disengage. The corporal threw a holy grená. grenade, saw it explode in a bright flash front of the on coming monster, and stared in disbelief as it kept on coming. The parasite charged right through the light, bellowed some sort of cry, and lowered a gigantic spike.

    The private was still firing when the gigantic spike stab him causing half the bones in his body, and threw what was left onto the street. The marine remained conscious however, which meant he was able to lie there and watch as the parasite’s chest burst opened and the tentacles and the sharp penetrators came out and lifted high into the air and brought down on his body, and on that moment, I knew that I was alone with that “thing” waiting for my death as it roar a war cry at me....
