A small town. A normal day for the townsfolk and for young Sasha. Almost everyday of his life appeared this normal. But not today.

"The sky's a bit cold... Must be the rain coming in..."

Indeed, the sky grew cold, but not because of rain. Rather, it was a threat long speculated by the townsfolks' forefathers. "Vampires!!!!"

Bats glowing crimson with demonic auras began flying through the town, biting and slicing people with their wings and fangs. Sasha witnessed it all. "No... Stop... Stop it... STOP IT!!!!!" For someone who grew up listening to old vampire stories, he was too young too witness an actual vampire raid. "We have found him..."

Sasha turned. "What the-- who said that!?" No one was there, except for corpses of most of the townspeople. Some have been taken as slaves, some forcefully turned into vampires by the bats. "He is here...", the voice said again. As Sasha turned around once more, bats were flanking him from above. "What the--"

Two vampires appeared before him in a bolt of black lightning. "He's the one, yes?", addressed one of them to the bats. "Then we must hurry back with him."

Sasha staggered and made a run for his life. Then he felt cold as he suddenly stopped. As he looked down, blood dripped from the blade protruding from his chest. As he slowly blacked out, he vainly reached for the horizon...

    All he saw was darkness...

His hand desperately reaching out towards a faint light...

Sasha gasped for air as he woke up. "I'm... I'm alive?" He was sure he died back then, so why was he now alive? As he stood up, the two figures from back then attended to him. "Ah, good. You are awake." "Where am I?", said Sasha. The first of the two said, "In your castle's safety. Oh, how rude of me. My name is Iblis." The large one exclaimed, "I'm Djibril." Sasha backed away. "What do you want from me? Wasn't I dead?"

"You were", said Iblis. "We just momentarily ended your human life to prepare you for your true life." "True life?", said Sasha. "Yes. Since your birth, Vampire Lord Heiden has seen you as a potiental heir to his army and kingdom."

Sasha looked stunned. "Wait, what? You mean... I'm a..."

Iblis simply smiled. "Yes, you are now and forever a vampire."

    Sasha froze. "Impossible..."

"Now then", said Iblis, "shall we take you to your predecessor, human? No, Vampire Lord Sasha?"
