• I look down upon white clouds and blue oceans. All I hear is the wind rushing past my ears and the thump of my Sterling's wings. I feel adrenaline coursing through my veins. I yell from the exileration, my dragon, Sterling looks back, "So you like flying," I hear in my head. "I love it," I reply, "Though I should remember to dress more warmly next time." My black hair is flowing behind me. My metal wrist band are as cold as ice. "We should head back," states Sterling, "your mother will be worried young one." She begins to bank and turns to the left.
Suddenly a flame burst from the cloud below us. A blood red dragon soon rises through the hole. On it's back was a rider. I couldn't see his face. He wore a heavy cloak, the hood raised to cover his head. Sterling dived, her navy blue scales glittering in the sunlight. "What are you doing!" I scream. "Protecting you!" she replied, a fire burned in her eyes. The moment before they collide she rolls, trying to attack the underbelly. I lost my grip. I began to plummet through the sky, my vision became a blur and i flashed back to how I got Sterling's egg, a short three weeks ago.
