• Abigail sat away from the other students in the cafeteria. She was a social person but ever since... well lets just say she got a little out of control with her temper, she wasn't that into spending time with friends.
Some of the girls from a few tables over where gossiping and talking about the local news. Hey, she thought, if I'm going to have these extra senses I might as well put them to use.
"Did you hear about that wolf? Apparently it is ravenous!" Abby snorted quietly and rolled her eyes. If only they knew that the 'ravenous wolf' was sitting only a few tables away, she thought. "My dad said that he was going to have it's pelt by the end of the week." Kelly continued.
"I saw it!" Zoe squealed. "It was..." she searched for a word. "beautiful, sorta. It had golden fur but that's all I saw because it was moving so fast that it was a gold blur." The others girls gasped.
"Wow you are so brave!" Kendall breathed. Yeah right, Abby thought as she rolled her eyes.
The bell rang for fifth period and she was glad for it. The day passed in a blur that seemed to take forever. Finally when the bell did ring she made a streak for the door only to be stopped by Alex Marcus, one of the few people she had actually noticed in her class. He was cute, she could give him that, with brown hair, green eyes and chocolate colored skin.
"Hey, are you busy tonight?" He asked casually. Why oh why did it have to be him she had to turn down?
"I'm sorry but I can't I have a prior commitment... sorry." She let how really sorry she was show in her eyes as she looked up at him. He nodded his face suddenly expressionless. He moved out of the way and she walked past him.
The whole time she was in her car she chided herself on not just ignoring what was right and what was sane and just say yes to him but she couldn't do it.
Sure pick now to be good.
I won't put him in harms way, she fought with herself.
It was Alex Marcus! Are you crazy?
    "Yes" she answered herself aloud.
She was safely in the woods only a few shorts minutes later.
She loped through the woods. Her mind wondering to other things but never entirely leaving the slow growing pattern of her paws as they flew over the dirt and dried leaves of mid October. She loved the feeling of the wind as it ruffled her gold fur, she loved the wet smell of ferns and trees as she flew by them. In truth she loved being a wolf more then she did a human... sometimes.
Suddenly she was aware of another living thing near her. Running only a short distance away and it was not the size of a dear but the size a a wolf. Wait, not just one but two. They were not known for there population of wolves around there mainly because there weren't many. She could hear the sound of their paws as they drew near. Her only thought was to escape so she took off like a golden bullet through the trees. For something her size she was extremely fast but even though the wolves grew farther away they followed her.
She wasn't going to get away and she would have to turn around soon to head home so she did the only thing she could do. She stopped and turned towards the oncoming, possible, threat. The slowest minutes of her life past as she waited for them to come.
They came out together and slowly as if they thought I was a threat to them. Suddenly it hit me. Other werewolves! I took each of them in as they studied me and from the look on their face and what I guessed was the look mine I would say all of us was stunned and not able to believe.
The smaller one had brown eyes and a gray fur coat, while the bigger one had brown eyes and chocolate brown fur.
Don't worry Abigail we won;t hurt you.

More to come later. Different stories and different chapters.
