• Hilien was a big village. Me and the boy -he didn't tell me his name yet- watched the fish in the river, we chased the chickens and just fooled around.
So it kind of surprised me when we were back at the fountain, and the sun was setting.
"The day passes by fast." He commented as we sat by the fountain.
    "Yeah."
We sat in silence for a minute.
"Too bad we can't play again another time." He sighed.
"Sure we can.Anytime. What's you name, though? Mine is Samina."
He smiled, as a guard came to us.
"Where have you been?" The guard demanded. "Doesn't matter, you must come with us." He reached for the boy.
"No! I don't want to come!" He tried to run.
"Leave him alone!" I said. I pushed the man's arm away with my sword, and stood between them. His eyes widened.
"So this is the girl..." He muttered.
"I don't know what you guys keep on talking about, but stay away."
"Yes, we will, but he must come."
I looked at the boy behind me.
"Do you know them?" I whispered to him.
"Yes." He sighed. "I guess I have to go. It was nice playing with you, Samina! Come see me soon!" He yelled as he walked away with the man.
"Wait! You never told me-" I started, but he was too far away.
Nemer looked at me. " Alot of people know the legend." He muttered.
"What stupid legend?! Why won't anybody tell me it?!"
"Because you shall know soon enough! Now stop shouting! My ears hurt. Just go to prince Herald." He told me.
"This stinks. He never got to tell me his name." I said as we walked through the castle gates.
I followed the path to a garden, and there was another fountain in the center of it. A boy, the prince, I guessed, stood behind it, back to me.
"Samina, I never told you my name, did I?" He asked, and turned.

It was Prince Herald, and the boy with whom I played with.
    "Y-you are th-the..."
"Yes. The stone you have, there is a story that goes with it. Would you like to hear it?"
"Yes, but what do I have to do in it?"
"The legend everyone knows, it is part of this story. Come sit." He sat at a bench. I sat next to him.

"Thousands of years ago, three animal spirits were born, and during that time, there was chaos. The world was falling apart. They created a weapon beyond dreams, and a sheild. As they locked this weapon up, the wars made peace. To seal the place, they made three stones; Courage, Strength, and Wisdom. The made a song, to seal it shut. The stone you have, that is the Courage stone. You need all three to open the door, and play a song. The song you play must be on this Ocarina made by the spirits." He showed me a brown oval shaped instrument, which had holes and a mouthpeice.

"So the legend was made that a girl would open these gates, and take that sword. War would once more commence, but this girl would stop them all. She would become the Hero of Souls, and she would seal the one who had caused the wars.
"It is said that she had brown-blond hair with brown eyes. She is not a good fighter yet, but the weapon and Strength from the stone would make her the best warrior ever. She is only ten and her life was miserable from where she came from."
This was almost like a full description of me, so my cheeks got really hot.
"Yes, this might sound like you. The legend says that her name was also Samina."
My eyes poped wide, and I now understood how people -and annoying ferrets- knew me.
"Yes. The legend says it is you." He turned his head to the gateway to the garden. "Galamore." He growled.
I looked to the gate, and saw a tall man come in. His clothes were dirty and old, and his boots were worn. He was bald, which made my inner self laugh.
"How dare you come upon my presence uninvited? An insult upon my family's name."
"Very sorry. I just met with your father. He said no, so I wondered what you would say."
"The same goes for me, Galamore, leave my presence." His voice was harsh.
"As you wish." He turned, and as his eyes focused to me, the friendly look turned into a murderous look. He walked away.
    "Who is that?" I asked.
"Galamore. He wants to buy the farmlands to create an army there. He is the most vile man I know."
"Okay. So what is it I have to do?"
"Get the two missing stones. Then find me. I will give you the Ocarina then. After that you find the temple of souls, and play the song. I will show it to you."
He played a song, on the Ocarina. It was the single most beautiful song I had ever heard one person play.
It ended, and the man who brought Herald here came. I jumped on the seat.
"Don't worry, this is my bodyguard Anio. He wont do anything."
"Samina, thank-you for beleiving his story." He told me.
"Even my father didn't beleive me." Herald sighed.
"Don't worry Herald, I will bring back the stones and stop the evil aproaching." I vowed, and got up. He got up too.
I started to walk around the fountain, and he ran to me.
"Wait. Samina, the Bravery stone is in the volcano villagen and the wisdom stone is in the sea village."
    "Okay."
"Be careful. The path is treacherous and dangerous. Try not to die."
    "I'll try."
    His bodyguard left, and quite loudly too. Herald kissed my cheek, and said;
    "Be careful."
