• His squad mates were already forming up with the other two squads selected for this mission. Their boosters glows forming up into tightly packed clusters as they began to pack together for phase one of the mission.
"Skull squad leader Trent Surefire to rest of the task force." Looking back briefly he saw the olive colored zf-31 his son was assigned and continued to lead them towards their atmospheric entry point. "We're entering atmosphere after executing mission plan A-2B. If the meteors we drop don't do enough damage be prepared to switch to A-37C."
Skull squad was armed with missile pods on the top of their full armor booster pack and soon they came into use. "Skull squad open fire." The tops of their pods opening up, in addition to the bombs attached to their wings released, a spiders web of booster trail would lead towards the few remaining orbital defence sattelites and blow them out of orbit adding cover to their reentry path. "Tally ho war birds!"

Brock looking back at the three heavily armed bomber units he would wonder if this was going to run as smoothly as it seemed already. There already were several squads engaging the main forces leaving their target area defended by a minimal number of enemy units. Something their strategic forecasters said would stack the odds in their favor being that the enemy aces were usually in the main forces. As he began to enter orbit his fighter plane immediately began to feel heavy and hard to control. "Geesh whats up with the controls? The sims didn't do this"
Captain Talon already with heat shield over his cockpit would barely come through on the com. "I told you rookie its different in real life. The coms are gonna cut off soon. Use auto if you need to."
Brock would frown at the thought of using auto pilot to enter atmosphere. Pulling to the correct angle he would watch as his canopy would become blacked out by the heat shield automatically closing up once he hit a certain altitude. Just before it closed completely he saw the valkyrie squad forming up with Anne's unit at the front of the squad.

On the planet surface chaos wasn't enough to describe the mess that the meteors and shot down defence sattelites were causing to radars. The few random glimpses of the zf-31 and the three heavy bombers were becoming hard to tell if they were really there or not. The anti air defences didn't know what to do with the generals in argument about the best course of action making it harder to discern if they should respond to it or not by pulling their main forces back to deal with it. One gutsy private of the regular military would solve that by opening fire on the first meteor that came into range. "Bwoom Bwoom Bwoom" the ground would shudder from the heavy anti air cannons and soon after the others would anti air batteries would open up.

The special task force was just near the very limit of reentry when suddenly a meteor that was covering one from reaper squads blew up sending debries up at them rattling a couple of them. And soon after they found them selves being showered by the other ones being shot up. It was about then that radio was available again.
"Mantis , reaper , skull squad, make a move for it!" Trent didn't need to repeat himself because the squads all scattered once he gave the word. Already converting to bird mode he would begin sniping off the enemy fleet coming up to lock horns with them.

Brock having purged his heat shield and joining his squad when they broke off would emulate his fathers tactic and begin laying rounds in at his maximum range knowing he had to make score for score like his dad did. "Brock Surefire sniping!" However his shots would end up straying off target when he knew he had a definite lock.
"Adjust your trajectory for planetary rotation you rookie!" Lt. Gorge would say over the com as he began to engage a enemy fighter plane that was definitely outmatched against him.
"What rotation?" He didn't have time to ask further when he saw something that looked familiar. The squad of R70 units he encountered his first time out were rapidly closing in towards them. (more to be added on)
