• I woke up abruptly. I looked around, expecting my vision to be blurry. But...it wasn't. I could see every little thing in sharp detail. I could hear better too. The cars on the distant highway. The faint voices of the people in the city a mile away. And....a sharp burning in my throat. I immediately ran to the stream for water. I gulped more and more of it down, but nothing helped.
I sighed. Where was the strange man? I had seen a flash of red, then all I saw was black. I rubbed my neck on an itchy spot. I immediately jerked my hand away. I inclined my head down to see my neck, and there they were, two deep gouges.
I gasped as I realized what had happened the previous night. The shady man, flash of red, gouges in my neck. It wasn't a normal man who had attacked me. He was a......I hate to think it, but......a vampire. There was nothing I could do. He had turned me into one of the same monstrositys that he himself was.
Why did it have to be me? Couldn't there be another 12 year old girl walking through the forest to attack? I sighed again. This explained the burning in my throat. The bloodlust inside of me. I smiled as I realized I was now immortal. But....the bloodlust. I didn't want to kill anyone. That was wrong. But I had no choice. If that was what it took to live, then that would have to do.
I sighed for the third time. But then a growl ripped through my throat as I smelled another girl around 100 feet away. My muscles bunched as I prepared myself for my first hunt. twisted
