• Prologue

'You've got to run.' I thought to my self. 'Run!' The child in which I was protecting squirmed a bit in her sleep with in my arms. 'God!' "Don't wake up up!" I begged the child in a soft wisper. "Please don't wake up! They will hear you and they'll know where we are if you wake up and cry out." I was the vampire called Tamarous (Tam-ar-us). And those who were persuing us were also vampires. Though they had the advantage of transforming while I couldn't, at least not while I carried the baby.
This was something that I would never have thought that I would be doing. I was going against my own kind, every vampire in the world to preserve an abomination that should necer have come in to existence. The only reason that I'm saving the girl in my arms against every thing including my beliefs, would be out of respect for her father, who had died at the hands of his own people while trying to protect his family, his daughter in particular. He had made me swear to protect her. Nothing but that was restraining me from vanquishing the child my self. It also kept me moving, searching for a safe place in which she could live. And weather I liked it or not I was the one placed with the responsibility to protect her even then.
I had only one place to bring the girl, with both her human mother and her vampire father dead. I was to leave her with her half sister, who was in her early twenties, and was also a pure blood human. This made me even more infuriated. Leaving the baby with her older sister would mean that I had to work with humans, which in my oppinion was almost as bad as protecting this half human brat.
With out realing it he ran out in to the middle of the bridge and was suddenly surrounded by campier bats, and they were quickly transforming into their human forms. There was no where to run. "Gease!" He hissed in fury and in irritation.
"Give us the child Tamarous, so we can distroy her." One of them named Stargon growled taking a step forward. "She's a monster with no right to live. So make this easy on your self and we won't consider you to be a trater." Tamarous formatted him self to be in a firmer stance.
"Sorry." Tamarous said sarcasticly. "I can't do that . Besides, do you hold the same fate for her twin brother, being that he's half vampire as well?." I knew that they didn't, other wise I'd have him as well as the girl in my arms. A hissing laughter surroundded them coming from the vampiers around them.
"Of course not!" Stargon exclaimed. "Except for the annoying tid bits of the smell of humans blood, he seems to be a complete vampier. Besides his father was the Lord of our people, and sense he's dead we need some one new to rule in his place."
Tamarous suddenly lauphed in the most thoughtfull and irritated way. "So the only reason your keeping him alive is so that you could brain wash him and rule through him!" I lauphed again. "You're the most cowardice vampires I have ever met!Hiding behind a child so that if any thing goes wrong you wouldn't hace to take the fall out. It's shame full." The opposing vampire suddenly hissed venumesly.
"You have little room to talk Tamarous. You hace shamed your self by taking side, and protecting that human brat that sleeps in you arms. You had you chance to give her up willingly with out consequence to your self, but you'ce now blown it. Neither of you will survive the night!" ' Not if I can help it.' I thought to my self. I took a deep breath allowing my power to run through me.
Like all vampires I had the ability to controle one element. Myne was water, and fortenetly we were surrounded by it. Water engulfed us all. And when it had recided Tamarous and the the baby had disappered.
