• Lucas stayed locked in an inescapable cage being guarded by Dmitri and he had no idea how long he had been locked up for. He knew he was slowly going insane and the only thing that was slowing down the process was Lorien’s smiling face.

Unexpectedly, Dmitri opened up the cage. Lucas stared at him confused and Dmitri poked him out.

“Follow me, and if you try to get away, I will kill you,” Dmitri said coldly without his usual smile on his face. Dmitri had a silver fireball hovering above his palm at the ready.
Lucas felt like he’d been stuck in the cage for days and he didn’t have the strength to argue or speak for that matter, even if he wanted to.

His eyes stung as the first signs of light hit his eyes. He had spent so long locked in the dark, he didn’t remember what it was like to feel the light on his eyes.

He followed Dmitri into a beautiful large garden that was decorated in sky blue and mint green ribbons. He suddenly remembered that it was the theme of Lorien’s wedding.

The garden was big enough to fit the half the kingdom in it so it was very crowded. Today was Lorien’s wedding, which must mean that he had been locked in the cage for seven days. His thoughts were suddenly interrupted when his heart shattered into a million pieces.

The crowd started cheering and he looked to the place where they were all staring with awe. There, at the end of the aisle, was Samuel and Lorien, and they were in each other’s arms, their lips locked together. They were now officially husband and wife.

“There’s your princess Lucas, officially in the arms of another man, till death,” Dmitri whispered mockingly into his ear. Suddenly, there was a sharp pain in Lucas head and everything went black.

The next moment he woke up, he was on the ground in front of the castle.

“This is where you leave Lucas!” someone called to him from the doors of the castle. It was a pair of red eyes and that’s all he needed to know to distinguish who it was. Instead of fighting, he followed orders now. He left the castle, no intention of coming back.

“You still have 9 months Lucas, enjoy them while you can!” Dmitri called to him but he didn’t care anymore. He wanted to die.
